GIVEAWAY! ~ Phoenix, AZ (area) Boredom Buster – Pogo Pass!

pogo_win_17_venue

GIVEAWAY information is below!

School is ending soon (if it hasn’t already), for most of your kiddos.   I’m guessing that both the relieved and the panicked parents out there want to spend time with their kids, keep them happy, and not break the bank.  Pogo Passes to the rescue!

If you’ve been around Bargain Believer for awhile, you’ve heard about them.  It’s been super popular and I’ve had so many people thank me for telling you about them. (Note:  I am an affiliate with them and get paid when you use my link or code.  Honestly, I’ve made more on these than anything else on the website.  Without them, I’m not sure I could keep paying those who help me — or, it would be really close!  THANK YOU to Pogo and you … for keeping us going & allowing us to bring you the best Arizona deals!)

This is our third year having them and we love them!  Below is all you need to know about the pass.  The summary is that you have 365 days to get into each venue listed below (some more than once).  Each person needs their own.  You will have access right away, once you pay.  You can print out passes or show them a code from your phone.  Simple … cheap … fun!

Here’s the info for those of you who are seeing this for the first time and don’t know what Pogo Passes are …

pogo_mercury

To purchase:  Go to the Pogo Pass website (That link should get you the $39.98 rate.  If not, use the code BARGAIN.)

  • Castles & Coasters (ONE visit anytime, unlimited rides & goofy golf — $30 package!)
  • Sunsplash (ONE visit during regular season)
  • Phoenix Zoo (TWO visits, anytime)
  • Makutu’s Island (TWO visits, Monday – Friday)

  • Pump it Up (TWO visits, Monday – Friday)
  • Phoenix Mercury (THREE games, dates provided during seasons)
  • Fat Cats (Grand Opening in Gilbert is in the future and they will begin accepting passes after opening… stay tuned)

To purchase:  Go to the Pogo Pass website (That link should get you the $39.98 rate.  If not, use the code BARGAIN.)

** Each person needs one, unless they’re 2 or younger.  Most places won’t charge admission and it’s not worth buying them one.  If you have a three year old, check the venues you will use and see what their policy is for three year olds.  Do the math and see if it makes sense.

Note:  They have the gift option back.  You can buy them now and redeem the code when you or your recipient wants the 365 days of fun to start.

————————————————————————————————–

Flagstaff Day Trip & Continuing Free Admission to Science Centers!

We bought both of these Groupon deals and are planning on a fun Flagstaff day trip this summer.  Beyond that day, we’ll have a one year science center membership, so we can get into the AZ Science Center for free, along with many museums all over the country.  It’s a nice bonus when we take road trips.

Note:  If you’re buying the Lowell Observatory deal, just to get into other museums — amazing value!  It’s only $30 for four.  You’d pay $57.80 for two adults and two children to get in ONE TIME to the AZ Science Center!!  BUT … you have to go to Flagstaff (where it is) to activate your membership by December 31, 2015.

Both of these deals can end at anytime.  They both say “limited time.”

snowbowl
Summer scenic chairlift ride at AZ snowbowl.

$23 for a summer scenic chairlift ride for two ($38 value) or
$45 for a summer scenic chairlift ride for four ($76 value)
(Read all details before purchasing, to make sure you’re getting what you want.)

Note:  Or, use this link!  Since I just bought it, it said that if two or more people use that link, we’ll all be credited $9.79 to our credit card.  That would sweeten the deal for me and you!  :)  Wait … maybe you get $5.01 or $9.79??  It said everyone get $9.79, but now I got an email saying this … ???
“Did you know you can get $9.79 back on your purchase? Share this link with friends who would enjoy this deal (or simply forward this email). If 2 or more friends click your special link and buy before Sun, May 24 at 10:43 PM (MST), we will refund everyone $5.01 or more.”

The scenic chairlifts drop passengers off at 11,500 feet to the peak of an extinct volcano, where, depending on the weather, they can see for up to 70 miles around. The trip takes about 25 minutes each way, with plenty of time at the top for sightseeing. Forest service rangers are on hand to point out landmarks—including the Grand Canyon, cinder-cone volcanic fields, and Sedona’s red rocks—and educate visitors about the alpine tundra beneath their feet. Passengers aged 7 and under or 70 and older ride free. Scenic chairlift rides operate Friday—Monday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., May 22 through mid-October. Use by September 30, 2015.

lowell_observatory

Lowell Observatory
**$30 for one basic membership ($60 value)

** Make sure you get the membership for $30, not the admission for $24, if you plan to use the membership anywhere else, of if you plan to go back!
(Read all details before purchasing, to make sure you’re getting what you want.)

Members receive the following benefits:

  • Free admission to the observatory for a family (two adults plus minor children) and two guest passes
  • Discounts in the astronomy gift shop
  • A subscription to the quarterly newsletter The Lowell Observer
  • Free admission to more than 300 science centers participating in the Association of Science – Technology Centers’ Passport Program

Or, save a little bit more by using Ebates!  I love how the savings add up!

Go through Ebates for 6% cash back into your account!
Start at Ebates, type in “Groupon” and then click through to their site.  It takes a few seconds and then everything is the same after that.  The only difference is that 6% percent goes into your Ebates account.  They will send you a check sometime after you hit $10.

As a bonus, I’m pretty sure you’ll also get at $10 gift card to select places (Target was included) when you make your first $25 purchase, through Ebates.  I can’t tell for sure, since I’m not new, but last time I mentioned this a reader told me their came in the mail.  Let us know if you get one!

I am an affiliate with Groupon & Ebates.  I will receive a commission if you make a purchase using my links.  Thank you for using them!

Sunday Coupon Preview ~ None Coming on 5/24

As typical of holiday weekend, we aren’t scheduled to get any inserts this Sunday.  However, they sometimes surprise us with something, so let’s hope for the best.  Looking ahead, we should be getting three inserts the following weekend (5/31) a Smart Source, Red Plum and Proctor & Gamble.

If you want to be ready for the following week, Groupon is still offering a fantastic deal.  Get 1 year of the AZ Republic for $29.95.  This is a super rate for an Arizona Republic newspaper subscription … $29.95 for a full year of Wednesday, Saturday, & Sunday (coupons!) deliveries.  If you don’t want to try a full year, there is an offer below for 3 months.

az_republic_3_for_1If you don’t get the Sunday coupons, you can get the Sunday and Wednesday Arizona Republic delivered for only $12 for 3 months, if you haven’t been a subscriber in the past 30 days.   I have verified that this is the best rate they currently have available.  You pay for one month, get two for free.  That works out to approximately $1 per week!  The key is that you need to cancel in three months, if you decide not to continue at full price, since it’s an autopay offer.  I’ve often called to cancel a promotional rate and they’ve extended it, but no guarantees on that.
