Photo Canvas Bargains ~ Shipped to Your Door (TODAY, Only About $25 for 16 x 20!)

There are two great photo canvas deals going on right now.  These make great gifts or look great on your own walls!

plum_canvas

This first one is only good through November 5, 2014.  I believe everyone can use the code HalloweenFun to save an additional 10% off today (10/31).

Get a 16″ x 20″ gallery-wrapped canvas for only $29.00 (-10% off on 10/31 with code HalloweenFun)
Get two for only $56.00 (-10% off on 10/31 with code HalloweenFun)
Both prices include shipping and are super deals!
Go through the daily deal site Plum District.
(Scroll down until you see the deal.  It’s currently listed toward the bottom.)

Here’s the other deal:

Get a free 11″ x 14″ canvas photo or 50% off a larger size.
You will only pay shipping which is $18.95 on the 11″ x 14″.
They’ve done this promo before, but it’s usually only an 8″ x 10″.

Go here to get started making yours.

Currently, it says it expires 5/1/15, but I’m not sure if that will be changed.

I have a couple canvases around our house and I love them and get compliments on them.  My only advice is to figure out where you’re going to put them and make sure you’re getting the size you want.  I had an 8″ x 10″ done and I think it’s too small for my space.  I should have paid a little more and gone larger.  Those things are smaller than I processed in my little brain.  :)

SRP ~ Winter Time of Use Hours Begin 11/1/14

Reminder for all you SRP Time-of-Use users out there . . .  The peak (expensive) time for using electricity is from 5am – 9am and 5pm – 9pm everyday, beginning November 1, 2012.  (Weekends and holidays are all off-peak hours.)  These hours will go through the end of April.

For years, I didn’t use this plan.  My husband convinced me it would be insane since I stay home all day.  (Well, I do get out from time to time, but you get the point!)  Neither of us are willing to sweat or have our guests sweat during peak summer hours.  We were pleasantly surprised that we changed very little, nobody sweats, and we save money.

I tried it out during a risk-free time a few years ago.  I figured I had nothing to lose and haven’t ever switched back.  Unfortunately, that risk-free offer ends on Oct. 31.  Maybe they will begin another one??  If they are, it would probably be advertised soon at the link above.

I almost always do our laundry and run the dishwasher during off peak times.  That’s the only change I made.  (Our pool filter was already running at night.)  We keep our thermostat at a constant temperature and we cook, vacuum, use the computer, etc. when we need/want to.  I haven’t checked out the savings recently, but several years ago, we saved just over $210.  That’s about $19 a month for changing my laundry and dishwasher running schedule, which is worth it to me!  I’m guessing we’d save without changing, but I’m not sure.

I don’t see that they’re offering a trial time period, but it may be worth calling and asking about it.

They also have other payment plan and APS probably has the same.  This is just what I’m familiar with.

Custom Disney Family Decal Mailed To You For FREE (and other Disney freebies)

disney

This is FUN!  Head over here to make a Disney family decal for FREE!  It’ll ship to you for free also!  You can create whatever characters you like.  I’m not into putting stuff like this on my car, but I ordered one and I’ll put it somewhere fun around the house.  My daughter will probably put it on her mirror in her bedroom.  It’ll make her smile and remember our fun times at Disney.

Some of the items are locked.  If you want to unlock them, click on it and you just have to fill out email, address and when you might go to Disney and it unlocks everything.  Then, you have even more fun choices!

(Thanks, Alicia’s Deals!)

Here are some other Disney Freebies:

(Must click on graphic above, to order custom Disney map.)

The awesome Disney Parks Customized map offer is back and it’s 100% FREE!  Shipping is free too!  This is a really neat keepsake to remember your trip.  We just received ours in the mail.  My daughter put it on her wall and my 5 year old took the stickers!   You must click on graphic above, to order it.

It’ll come in the mail in a few weeks.  You and your kids will love it!

And…..

Planning a trip to Disney?  Click the image above and order a FREE Disney planning DVD.

It will be mailed to your home, totally free.  You must click the Mickey picture above to order it.

Have you even been to Disney during the holidays?  Wow, everything is decorated so beautifully.  We usually go at Halloweeen, but next time, I want to take the kids at Christmas.

My favorite money saving tips at Disney are:

Bring snacks and lunch!  I pack deli meat and rolls for lunch and tons of snacks.  You can even eat lunch while standing in line for a ride.  Saves you money and time.

All of the dining places that serve fountain soda will give you free cups of ice water.  It was so hot when we went.  Instead of packing 10 bottles of water, we packed two.  Then, we’d just hit up a dining place and get two free ice waters whenever we needed.  The ice is really good to munch on too, even better than when I was in labor!  You can bring in water and juice boxes too.  I always freeze a few juice boxes and use those to keep my deli meat cold.

We always stay at a hotel away from Disney to save on costs.  We usually chose a hotel near the Disney parking lots (we like the Toy Story lot).  Then, we walk from our hotel, right in to the parking lot, get on a shuttle and they take us right to the front of Disney.  Don’t worry, I emailed them about this and they don’t mind one bit.   We went over Fall Break and had a bunk bed suite for $90 a night!

And this has nothing to do with Disney, but about a mile from Disneyland is the best ice cream place EVER!  It’s called Joe’s Italian Ice and trust me, you won’t be sorry.  If Disney closes early, just head over there for a treat.  My kids get dipped cones in tons of really yummy flavors like peanut butter or blue raspberry for just a few dollars.  The ice cream is out of this world and the Italian ice is just amazing.

Finding discounts on Disneyland tickets is near impossible, especially if you plan to go for less than three days.  I waited until Fry’s had their 4X fuel points promo going, and I bought all of our tickets.  I also bought a $100 gift card for food and souvenirs.   I ended up with almost 4,000 fuel points!  I used them to get $1 off per gallon of gas when I left.  Then, you can also use it at Shell gas stations along the way, so we used another $1 off in California.  Then, when I came back on empty, I filled up again with another $1 off per gallon.  Plus, I still had $1 for later.  It saved me about $20 a fill up!

If your kids get to much candy, be sure to check out the program where dentists will buy it from you and send it to our troops!  I always bag some up, and put it away for Santa to use in two months.  No point in buying more candy for stockings.  But, I have to put it in a suitcase and have my husband put it on the highest shelf in the closet, so that I’m not eating some every day.  If I have to get a ladder to get a twix bar, I’ll realize it’s not worth the effort.  Although, I’ve been known to do just that once or twice.

(Thanks for some added deals, Alicia’s Deals!)
