Bargain Believer ~ Celebrating Two Years!

It just hit me that on April 20th, two years ago, I put my first little post on Bargain Believer.  That's tomorrow!

I sent out an email to my family and friends and told them I would be putting some deals up for them to check out, if they wanted to.  It sounded simple.  Basically, I thought I was doing it anyway since I was emailing or calling friends (if they weren't calling me) and telling them what I knew already.

Well, it didn't take me long to learn it was a lot more work than I imagined.  Thankfully, by using affiliate links, I was generating a small income.  (Thank you for using my links since some of them pay me!)  A little over a year later, I was able to take that and pay Gina to help me.  My "to do" list shortened and I could breathe again.  I still remain plenty busy posting, but it gave me added freedom, without having to remove any content.

What I post has expanded greatly, hopefully, for your benefit.  Along the way, I have stood firm in my commitment not to make this website about posting affiliate links just so I could make money.  I've discovered (due to taxes, ughh!) that I've started a business, but that wasn't my intent.  I really just love having a platform to share what I find.  Thankfully, many coupons sites and other companies pay me to tell you about them.  It's still crazy to me!  Shhh . . . don't tell them that I would tell you anyway!  :)  Of course, I probably wouldn't exist anymore without them since I wouldn't have been able to hire help.  So, affiliate links are just another crazy blessing in all of this!

I really appreciate you all.  I love to get emails, comments, "likes" on Facebook etc.  They all bring you to life and help me realize, when I'm short on time or motivation, that I need to press on.  You are all real and my deals aren't going out to empty cyber space!  Most of the time, I can't wait to get something posted.

And . .  a special thank you to my original family and friends who believed in me enough to pass along my information.  Even now, the best compliment and/or gift all of you give me is when you share this site or Facebook page with someone.  Thank you!

Juli, congratulations and happy 2nd year anniversary.  Thank you tremendously for all that you do for all of us. We truly appreciate you and all your hard work.  Thank you.  I loooove referring others to your website.  I tell them that you are local and it makes shopping so much easier than other coupon savings blogs.  Plus I love your shopping lists and that makes it easier for newbies.  Some day I would love to meet up with you and thank you in person.  Have a fun day tomorrow celebrating.  :)

I have no idea where you are, but if it's convenient, I'm up for meeting sometime.  I'm in Chandler, near Alma School & Elliot.  Of course, I wouldn't want to meet you just so you could thank me . . . you already did that.  But, I do really like to put faces with names and just have more of a connection to real people than I do.  So, if you're ever in my neck of the woods or there's a fun, free event you want to come this way for, let me know.  For instance, depending on the movie, we want to try to get the the free movies each month a Pollack Tempe Cinemas.  Or . . . ??  There seem to be random deals/events that pop up.  If you're going to one near me, drop me an email.  We might be going too.  Or, we can just make a plan someday.  :)
Thanks for the encouragement and spreading the word.  I appreciate it more than you realize!

We are at Gilbert Rd. between Ray and Chandler Blvd.  I also homeschool our two children as well.  We would love to do the free movies at Pollack but my son has gymnastics that evening at the same time, I am so bummed about that deal.  My kids have Spanish classes on Monday afternoons at Alma School and Guadalupe so maybe we could meet up then.  Are you guys doing the Summer Movies at Harkins?

God bless you for all you do!!! Your gifts of giving and compassion are being put to good use! A lady in Fry's out here in the West Valley introduced me to your site and I am so thankful! I send your stuff out all the time and I know some of my family and friends have signed up, too. Many families are continually blessed by your hard work and diligence. Congratulations on two years and I pray God gives you the strength and wisdom for many more. May He continually bless what you put your hands to!

I love to hear that someone passed the information along to you.  Thanks for doing the same!  We'll see what God has in store for year number three.  I don't plan on going anywhere, but hope to have even more help and improve things where I can.  There's always something on my mental list.  :)
