I have a quick question to ask…..I still have the ecoupon for $2.00 off when you spend $30.00 and my question is this…..does the total have to be $30 or more before you put your Fry's card in or after?
Thank you….
And thank you for the lists…..it makes planning my shopping trips soooo super easy!
I haven't use it yet, but those coupons have always triggered as soon as the subtotal gets to the amount. They are automatic and "just happen" after the requirement is hit. Since coupons are given after that, you should be set. Please let me know if you find out otherwise or I'll keep assuming the same is true.
I'm hoping to hit $50, after coupons since I have $5 off $50 that was mailed to me. (It seems wrong to say "hope" since I rarely spend that much in a week!) But, there are just so many good deals and some meats I want, so I'm thinking I can do it. I keep trying to tell myself I can do it, even with that $2 coupon that will come off and a $2 off frozen that I have loaded. We'll see! :)
Duh — just reread your question and in all my babbling I didn't answer your question. Sorry! Your total needs to be at $30 after your card is in. So, the sale prices have to total more than $30, but that's before coupons are deducted.
Thanks Juli for your assistance and now I'll know…..just wasn't sure before I asked!
Just to clarify . . . the “duh” was to me, not you!! I don’t consider any question a “duh” if you don’t know the answer. Actually, it’s a common question and one I have wondered about myself. I’ve only figured it out by trial and error. Hope your day is off to a great start! :)
Hi Juli, Can I just say this site is awesome! I’ve been wanting to give couponing a try but it just all looked so confusing! So finally for the first time after reading this blog I have a little more confidence! Im going to try to save some money! Thank you in advance!!!!
Love to hear that you're going to give it a try and we can help you! Start small and don't worry when you miss a bargain. I've been doing this for years and years (I'm getting old!) . . . and I still miss plenty of deals out there. Sometimes I skip them intentionally, sometimes I totally forget or miss something and try not to kick myself! Remember that any savings above what you were doing is good. That's my newbie advice . . . don't tackle it all now or feel badly when you miss something or mess up here and there! :) Happy saving!
