Recently, Coupons.com updated their look. With that, came a zip code changing problem. We couldn’t figure it out for awhile since it appeared like we were changing the zip code, but then it would switch back.
First of all, you can check what zip you’re in by clicking the “local” tab, on Coupons.com. When you click “coupons” it will change back the default, so don’t waste your time changing it there — doesn’t work! :(
The new format makes changing zip codes difficult, but they still allow it. Many coupons have direct links (that we give you), but they aren’t always available. We will put a zip by the coupon, if we can’t give you a direct link.
You can check your zip first, but if it’s not there, here’s what you can do . . .
I emailed them to see if there was a more simple way, but it doesn’t look like it.
This is part of the email I received . . .
1. If you are not signed in on Coupons.com click ‘sign in’ top of the page. If you are signed in you will see a ‘Welcome [your name]’ at the top of the page.
NOTE: If you do not have an account on Coupons.com click ‘sign up’ at the top of the page to create a free account on our site.
2. Click on the ‘Welcome’ text and then select ‘Account Settings’.
3. Type in a new zip code in the zip code field.
Update: You will need to hover over your address to see an “edit” button. You will need to change the state and zip. Don’t worry about the address or city. It will go back to your normal zip if city and zip don’t match. (You won’t know this until you go back and check — looks like it changes!)
4. Once you make the changes click the “Submit Changes” button at the bottom of the page.
Make sure you change it back to your regular zip when you are done, if you prefer to view those coupons.
