Has anyone else had problems with redeeming printable coupons at Safeway? I live in Prescott Valley and use the Safeway here. Today was at least the 3rd time I've tried to use them and been rejected, so I'm about ready to give up. All the other grocery stores seem to be able to scan my coupons just fine, but Safeway never can. Any tips?
HI Rhonda. I live in Prescott Valley also, so I’m sure we shop the same Safeway as there’s only 1! :o) I will never go to self check out as my coupons never scan. I think the scanners are more sensitive or something. I’ve been told by several cashiers there that if they don’t scan, they can’t take them. But, I did this Reach deal on Friday and I had the $2/2 coupons.com printables and they scanned without a problem. You can try to go to customer service with your coupons and the items if it happens again. They are usually more helpful there. ~ Gina
I won't use printables at Safeway. The hassle factor of it all is enough that I don't want to even try.
I can feel your pain Amy. I have a hard time with Safeway and Walmart with printable coupons. They seem to be the 2 stores that give me the biggest headaches. It’s sometimes not worth your time or effort. I had a cashier yesterday at Safeway try to scan a printable at least 15 times before it finally scanned. On the bright side, the JustForU program is great and seems to be reliable so far. ~ Gina
