I haven't posted about this yet, this season. Market on the Move a great way to get a bunch of produce for an amazing deal, but the selection is limited. If you are wanting a big variety, this isn't for you. If you plan on getting what they have and either sharing or canning and freezing some — go for it!
Basically, you donate $10 and get to pick out two boxes or produce — approximately 60 pounds. The selection varies from week to week. The earlier you get there, the better selection you have. "Like" them on Facebook to see the upcoming selection, usually on Fridays.
Tomorrow (Saturday, 11/10), they will have Italian squash, pickles, grape and vine tomatoes, watermelon, and honeydew. Some locations will get green beans and bell peppers (limited). All items may not be at all locations. There are usually plenty of tomatoes and we've made some great salsa. Watch their Facebook page for updates.
They will be in Glendale, Phoenix, Chandler, Scottsdale, Mesa, Goodyear, and Tucson. You can bring you own containers or they have boxes available for you.
Check out Market on the Move's current dates, times, and locations.
If you haven't gone, it's probably worth your time to check it out. I've written about it before.
