I adore these labels. (Is that too strong of a word for labels?) I have only done return address labels, but you could also make gift tags out of them. I think return labels also made a nice little gift for someone.
You can make characters to look like family members, customize them with photos, or keep them more generic.
One year, I took a picture of all my kids with a Santa hat on. It was cute on our Christmas cards. I've also done the caricatures of my family that turned out cute.
