If you get the AZ Republic Sun. & Wed. papers delivered, you will probably get a paper on Thanksgiving Day and there will be an extra charge for it. If you will be out of town or don't wish to get it, be sure to cancel it and get a credit to your account. You can do it online or call 800-332-6733.
Note: There is only one Smart Source insert scheduled to come next week (11/18) and then nothing the following week (11/25). Sometimes there are surprises, but that's what Sunday Coupon Preview reports (top menu bar on their website). This might be helpful for figuring out what days you want to cancel. I'm not sure if there is a minimum amount of time you need to cancel it for. Since I get daily delivery, it's different.
Most likely, this was part of the fine print, when you signed up for the paper . . .
The Thanksgiving Day edition is delivered with your subscription and will be charged the regular Sunday newsstand price, which is reflected in the November payment.
We always like to flip through all the ads as the turkey is cooking. We usually have a big mess before we eat since there are at least 10 sets of hands that touch those ads, at my sister's in CA. Even our kids get into it, which means we have some guessing to figure out which pages go together, at the end. :( You can see the ads online, of course, but it's just not the same to me. Sometimes, there are also coupons in there for places like Macy's.
Update: I also just read that there will be a $10 off a $10 purchase coupon in the Kohl's Thanksgiving Day ad.
If you don't get the paper, remember that you can get the Sunday & Wednesday papers delivered for $7 per month. That saves you money vs. buying them each week and they come right to your doorstep. If you are lucky enough to live near a Dollar Tree, you might save a little bit by going there. They have Sunday editions for $1, but they often run out -- just depends on your location.
