READ THIS! ~ Find Zip Specific Coupons on Coupons.com ~ NEW CHANGES!

This above coupon is in 90808, if you're looking for it. :)
THIS IS NEW INFORMATION as of mid-December 2012.
Recently, Coupons.com updated their look. With that, came a zip code changing problem. We couldn't figure it out for awhile since it appeared like we were changing the zip code, but then it would switch back.
First of all, you can check what zip you're in by clicking the "local" tab, on Coupons.com. When you click "coupons" it will change back the default, so don't waste your time changing it there — doesn't work! :(
The new format makes changing zip codes difficult, but they still allow it. Many coupons have direct links (that we give you), but they aren't always available. We will put a zip by the coupon, if we can't give you a direct link.
You can check your zip first, but if it's not there, here's what you can do . . .
I emailed them to see if there was a more simple way, but it doesn't look like it.
This is part of the email I received . . .
1. If you are not signed in on Coupons.com click 'sign in' top of the page. If you are signed in you will see a 'Welcome [your name]' at the top of the page.
NOTE: If you do not have an account on Coupons.com click 'sign up' at the top of the page to create a free account on our site.
2. Click on the 'Welcome' text and then select 'Account Settings'.
3. Type in a new zip code in the zip code field.
4. Once you make the changes click the "Submit Changes" button at the bottom of the page.
Make sure you change it back to your regular zip when you are done, if you prefer to view those coupons.

Now another hoop to jump thru to use coupons dot com. I don't know why everyone keeps fighting their constant changes instead of using the microsite link, which still allows easy zip change as well as getting to the last page to print a 2nd coupon.

I think there might be a way that some companies can get Coupons.com to host the coupons directly on their site, but I'm not sure. The format is different for that. I'm not sure whose site that is (at the link), but I know a couple similar ones. (The link is not fully loading for me, so some info. is missing at the top.) It looks like it has someone's affiliate link in the URL, so I can't give it out and send people to it. I think someone is getting a commission when you use that link, but I'm not positive.
Honestly, I wouldn't get paid for that either. Without getting paid for prints at Coupons.com I wouldn't be able to pay the people who help me. Without their help, the site would not be as complete as it is now and possibly cease to exist. The coupon match up lists take a long time. I just can't keep up with the time requirements.
Obviously, if that link works better for you, keep using it.
I have changed many links to Coupons.com to a non-affiliate one. If I find a coupon that you can't get to through my affiliate link, I'm happy to give it to you. I don't want anyone to miss out. I just discovered a few coupons that weren't showing up with my link and it's not fair to keep them from you, just so I have a change of getting paid when you go looking for it! There are mysteries, but I'm attempting to get them figured out and keep a balance of maintaining the site and being helpful to you. Online things are always changing and it's hard to stay on top of them all, but we're attempting to.
Thanks for the suggestion. Please understand that I'm not mad or attacking you, just trying to honestly convey the facts. I sincerely appreciate you trying to offer a solution! Have a great Christmas!
So sorry. I really had no idea blogs were paid for clicks.
Now, I will click on your link, then immediately leave and go to microsite. will that work for you? Or do I actually have to "do" something while there? My time and non- frustration is worthwhile too.
Are all these changes being made to keep us in our own zips?
I now have a whole new respect for bloggers. And I really do appreciate all your work to get us good deals.
I don't know for sure who would get paid, in that situation. I'm guessing the last click gets paid. Almost everything I get paid for (except Google ads) require you to do more than click. In this case, you need to print at least one coupon. (I think it resets in 24 or 48 hours — not even sure!) I get paid the same no matter how many you print. Don't worry about double clicking. Just stick with what you know works. It's not worth creating a hassle for you! I do appreciate you thinking about it, though!
I guess an easy way would be to use the links we give, when it's a direct link. Those will take you right to the coupon. That should be even more simple than going to the site and finding the coupon. (Those coupons always say "direct link, gone if not checked" after them and no zip code will be listed.)
I know I'll lose some revenue with this change (and some coupons being missing from the affiliate link). I'm okay with that as long as I can keep paying those who work for me. I didn't start this website to make money, but it has allowed it to continue, with help. So, I am grateful for that. I really appreciate you trying to support the site. I am grateful I don't have to charge people, but can still pay people to help. It's still a crazy reality for me, but I'll take it! :)
Oh — I'm not sure if they're trying to limit us changing zips or not. I emailed Coupons.com to see what their response would be. I told them I was a blogger and wanted to know how to communicate the change and they gave me the specific directions to change it. So, I assume they know it's happening and don't care. Changing the zip in the "old days" seemed less questionable to me than changing it in our profile, but I guess that's what they want.
Thanks for the reply. Have a wonderful end to your day!
