Target offers free admission to the museums listed below on the first Sunday of every month. They are all within three blocks of each other in downtown Mesa.
I believe the program runs through May 5th, 2013 if you can't make it this Sunday. (Call ahead for future dates, just to verify.)
Arizona Museum of Natural History
Normal admission is $10 for adults, $6 for kids.
1pm – 5pm

Arizona Museum for Youth
Normal admission is $7 for anyone over one year old.
12pm – 5pm

Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum at Mesa Arts Center
Normal admission is always free.

* It says they have special activities including an area for kids to create their own artwork and a free performance in their outdoor courtyard.
