Compass Bank is offering a Kindle Fire HD when you open a new checking account.
You can call the location listed below (McClintock & Elliot in Tempe) or visit any Compass branch. If you call the location listed and set it up over the phone, you will go into any branch with your ID and sign, at your convenience.

You will need to open a checking account with $25 or more and:
- A Direct Deposit (of at least $300 or more) must post to the account within 90 days of opening. Deposit must be from an unrelated third party (such as payroll check or Social Security or Disability check, etc).

Must make at least three separate online bill payments of minimum $50 each to three different unrelated parties (such as cell phone bill, electric bill, water bill, cable bill, etc) within 90 days.

Account must be open when the Kindle Fire is mailed to customer (mailed within 90 days of customer meeting above requirements).

There is a similar deal at First Bank (Germann and Alma School), but you only have to do either the $300+ deposit or 3 bill pays – not both.
No minimum balance so I opened mine with $10 in the checking and $10 in the savings.
