I won tickets to tour Shamrock Farms, on their website last year. I finally got to use them a few weeks ago. We had a great time. The tour is educational and fun. My kids loved seeing the milking barn, but really loved getting to pet the new calves.
The tour starts in a little museum area, by the gift shop. Then, you board a tram and see the main parts of the working farm. There is a stop to play on a unique playground, along the way. There is also a video to watch, showing the processing plant. At the end, you get a free bottle of milk (your choice of flavors). You can also purchase a simple lunch or ice cream before or after the tour.
They are located a one hour from downtown Phoenix, 20 min. from Maricopa.
Shamrock Farms is giving me two Family 4 packs to give away. It's good for two adult and two child admissions, a $30 value.

When our son was just 3 years old… we were walking out of church (which was located near a dairy farm) one evening. The fresh aroma hit us and one of us said whoa, that smells like poop. Jordon said : No, that's HORSE POOP" .We still laugh about it to this day because the look on his face and the tone of his voice was priceless. The last time we took hom to visit a local dairy (ten years ago), he was attempting to milk a cow and it peed on him. We would love the chance to create more precious memories!
