Did you see the Safeway Try Me Free rebate in today's Smart Source insert (3/17)? You can get the following items for free after rebate: Betty Crocker Mac & Cheese (5.6 oz) $1.00 Liberte Greek Yogurt (5.3 oz) $1.00 Yoplait Pro Force Yogurt (4 pack) $2.50 Fiber One Protein Bars (5 count) $2.99 Honey Nut Cheerios Medley Crunch Cereal (13.1 oz) $3.00 Peanut Butter Toast Crunch Cereal (12 oz) $3.00 Fiber One 80 Calorie Chocolate Squares (11.75 oz) $3.49 Totino's Pizzeria Rols (40 count, 19.8 oz) $3.49
All items must be purchased at Safeway or one of their family stores (Vons, Randall's, Pavillions, etc…). You have through 3/26 to make your purchases. Your rebate must be postmarked by 4/9.
The nice thing is you don't need to cut out the UPC's. You just have to write them in on your original receipt.
A few tips that I've learned from doing this a few times in the past: ~ Do a separate transaction with only these items. It's just easier to know exactly what you should be getting back. ~ Don't use coupons. I know, you think I'm losing it. You will not be able to make money by using a coupon. Not with how Safeway's receipts print. You will only get back what you pay, so, it's not really worth your time clipping or ink printing. This will be the only time I will ever say that. :) Miranda brought up a good point that last time one or two of the prices went off sale and were over the rebate "up to" amount. If this is the case, by all means use a coupon if available to bring the cost down. Thanks Miranda!
I hope you all got this in your inserts. Last time, I found a tearpad in my Safeway on an endcap. It's worth a try if you didn't get it.
