Ibotta has a few deals that were irresistible to me. Gina already told you about the Ferrero one, below. There is also one for 50¢ back on your milk purchase! I dug up a receipt from a few nights ago and got that. There is also a bonus if you redeem any two offers before Sunday . . . an extra buck! So, I spent . . .
74¢ on chocolate at CVS
$1.87 on milk at Fry’s (on sale through 12/17 at Fry’s, but can be anywhere Ibotta is accepted)= $2.61 out of pocket (plus tax)
GET BACK 50¢ + 50¢ + $1 = $2
$2.61 – $2 = 61¢ for gallon of milk and chocolate! Idea: If Walmart carries a 3-pk of the Ferrero Rocher, you could ad match both items there. Here’s the CVS Ferrero deal . . . . Ferrero Rocher (3 pack) 74¢ (at CVS thru 12/14)
$0.50/1 Ibotta (phone app, future cash back)
Final price: 74¢ + possible Ibotta cash back (24¢ after ibotta cash back factored in)
If you don’t use Ibotta, give it a whirl! They have quite the variety of deals that include Best Buy & Toys ‘R Us ($10 back on $100), AMC, Dunkin Donuts, Burger King, Smash Burger, specific grocery & drugstore items and much more!
Here’s a little more about it, if you aren’t familiar with it:
You can use it at most major stores stores like Fry’s, Target, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, Safeway, etc. They’ve also added some retails stores and restaurants.
After you download the app:
- Click to complete short “tasks” for items you’re interested in
- Buy selected products
- Take a picture of your receipt & UPC
- Get $$ into your account
- Cash out when you hit $5
- New offers will soon appear in your app
Note: If you are buying a lot, I would have the item rung separately or with a couple other items. It’s a pain to take a picture of a long receipt. Also note that you can use coupons and still get the savings, but I’m always worried, if my total is going to be $0.00, so I add other items to the receipt.
