If you aren’t a member of SavingStar, sign up!   Once you have your stores’ card numbers in there, it’s super simple.  Just click the things you might buy and if you do . . . money accumulates in your account.  You can cash out when you hit $5.

Right now, there’s an offer that’s hard to pass up . . .  $5 back when you spend $15 on All detergent Fry’s!

** This is part of the Mega sale, so you’ll need to mix & match with six items (any items in sale) to pay the lowest price.  See Fry’s list for details.

** All Laundry Detergent (32 – 50 oz)   $2.49 / $2.99
$3/2 All Product 01/05/2014 RP Insert (exp 2/16/14)
$1/1 All Product 01/05/2014 RP Insert (exp 2/16/14)
$2/2 (gone if not first coupon shown after clicking link)
$1/1 Redplum
$2/2 printable (register w/ Betty Crocker)
$2/2 printable (register w/ Pillsbury)
$2/2 Fry’s digital (can’t use w/ paper coupon)
$5/15 SavingStar eCoupon (future savings)  NEW
Final price:  As low as 99¢ / $1.49 each when you buy 2 (Buy 6, Save $3) (or possible future cashback)

Since the 50¢ comes off each item (for the Buy 6 sale), I’m almost positive you’ll be set factoring in $2.99, to get to the $15.  I can’t 100% guarantee it, but that’s how it’s worked in the past.   (It takes awhile for your account to be updated, but eventually you’ll be able to tell if you need to buy one more or not.  Again, I’m almost positive you won’t have to.)  I’m planning on buying six, since five would leave me a few cents short.  I’ll really only be spending $14.94 since I’ll be paying $2.49 x 6, not $2.99

I say that I “click and forget” for SavingStar coupons.  I really do . . . most of the time.  I have to admit that I will probably remember this one, when I’m making my purchase since it’s $5.  Be aware that they “are not intended” for you to use them with paper coupons, but they allow it.

If you don’t know what it is, here’s more information:

With SavingStar, you can save eCoupons to your grocery store loyalty cards and automatically get credited when you swipe your card at checkout.  The savings doesn’t come off at the register, it gets credited to your SavingStar account.  You can request your payment via Paypal, bank deposit, or gift card when you reach $5.

I just to load what I have a chance of buying and then forget about it.

The Arizona stores that participate are Fry’s, Bashas, and CVS.  (Albertsons is listed, but since we don’t use loyalty cards in Arizona, it’s more of a pain.  I thnk you can get a card in their customer service department, if you want to.)

They are not meant to be combined with paper coupons.  Here’s their official statement on that:
(Personally, I load everything I might buy and forget it.)

SavingStar eCoupons will work whether or not you combine them with other services’ coupons, but they are not intended to be used this way.  Generally, manufacturers state that it is against their policies for shoppers to redeem more than one manufacturer’s coupon for the same purchase.  Using in-store coupons in combination with SavingStar eCoupons is not a problem.  In the future, we may implement mechanisms to limit the combination of SavingStar eCoupons with other manufacturer coupons
