Checkout 51 ~ New Way to Save (similar to ibotta)

Checkout 51 Home

Have you checked out Checkout 51?  It’s a new way to save money, very similar to Ibotta.

Here’s what they say about their program:

Checkout 51 is the easiest way to save money on the brands you love! We’re currently saving over half a million Americans and Canadians money every day and have much larger plans for expansion!

All our members have to do is follow these simple steps:

  1. Browse the offers that are updated every Thursday
  2. Buy the products from any store
  3. Take a photo of your receipt to redeem your deal
  4. Get cash back!

It works on your iPhone, iPad or Android device.  You have to reach $20 in savings to get payout, and they will mail a check to you.  If you are a new member, the first receipt over $20 that you scan in will earn you $2 back!

I love that this works at Albertsons since they always have great milk deals (ibotta doesn’t work there yet).  Milk will be on sale at Albertsons for $1.87 starting tomorrow.  Checkout 51 has an offer for $1 back on a gallon of milk.  That’s like paying on 87¢ after you factor in your future cashback!

If both Checkout 51 and Ibotta have the same offer, let’s say for milk, you can do both offers with the same receipt.  Just remember ibotta doesn’t work at some stores.  So, for the milk, it might be better to price match at Walmart and go from there.

So, go here to sign up and start saving today!

if I download this app to my phone, do I have to take photo of receipt or is there a scan/bar code that I can use to upload it? If I have to take pic, I then upload it to their website or email or text photo to it? thinking about downloading it before going to store tonight but if it’s too much of a hassle, don’t want to take up memory on my phone since its just about full.

Sorry, I’m just getting back with you. Yes, if you download Checkout 51, you just open the app, click on receipts, take a picture of your receipt and upload it right there. It’s super easy. The only thing I don’t care for with Checkout 51 is you have to get to $20 to redeem the offer. My phone is almost always full too, so I understand. I do keep this one and ibotta on there all the time. They are worth the space. :) ~ gina
