Tour New Cub’s Stadium on Saturday ~ Free!

You can tour the new Cub’s stadium for free on Saturday from 2pm – 6pm.

I’m just going to copy the information from AZ Central below.  If you want to read more about the history of the stadium, they have a long article about it here.

“Saturday’s opening Mesa celebrates the new Cubs stadium and adjacent Riverview Park with a grand opening from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday.  There will be self-guided and trolley tours of the entire complex, the centerpiece of which is the 15,000-seat Cubs Park.  Mesa also will unveil Riverview Park, with a playground featuring a rock-climbing wall and rope tower, a 6-acre fishing lake and a promenade.  Admission is free, but use of the stadium parking lot for tailgating noon-6 p.m. will be $10 per vehicle.  There will be a sports-card and memorabilia show in the stadium from 2 to 6 p.m. featuring Bill Madlock, a former Cubs star who will sign autographs from 3 to 4 p.m.  Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Floyd will sign autographs from 3 to 5 p.m.  A formal dedication ceremony for the complex is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. next to the lake.”

It’s located south of Loop 202, just east of Loop 101 and west of Dobson Road.

(Thanks, Susan!)
