Please Read This . . . from Juli

I would really appreciate it if you tell others about the Bargain Believer website or Facebook page or daily emails.

The valuable “telling” comes when you specifically track down your friends and tell them they’re missing out because __________.

You fill in the blank with why you’re here.  Hopefully, there’s something we’ve helped you with and you believe someone else can benefit.  Helping people stretch their dollars and realize they may need less than they think to thrive, has been my goal since the day I started.

I didn’t mean to start a business, but realized I could send you to a print a coupon without getting paid or send you to the same one and get paid.  Hmmmm … pay me!  I say I accidentally started a business, but have to purposely pay taxes now.  True story.

This is work.  In reality, I don’t need a job.  I’m spoiled since my husband makes enough to maintain a lifestyle we’re comfortable living, without any income from me.  I often ponder if this website is worth the stress, but then I remember a heartwarming email or comment I received or a new one rolls in at just the right time, to encourage me.  So many of you are counting on me to help you save.  (Insert tears here … really, they’re flowing.  I get emotional about this.)   Sometimes, having this website can overwhelm me, and I want all the responsibility to disappear.  Other times, I can’t imagine life without it, in a good sort of way.   Some of you (most all, really!) have been amazingly supportive over the past 6 1/2 years.

Beyond me, Gina (my amazing helper!) and others along the way, have counted on extra income by helping me.  The reality is, Gina does waaaaay more than I do, for day to day things around here.  Sometimes, I wonder what I even do!  Just keeping up with emails and doing misc. stuff still can consume me, somehow.  But, when I think of quitting, I also think of her … she’s also poured her time/love into this site and the income really helps her family.

This isn’t a doom and gloom post.  I’m not planning on quitting next month, just processing some thoughts “aloud” and asking for your help, in taking some financial worries away.  The truth is that I can’t lose money, especially while also investing so much time in it.  It just doesn’t make sense.  (For the record, I’ve almost always made money.  I don’t want anyone to feel sorry for me!  I’ve just seen revenue drop considerably, over time, even while slowly growing in numbers.  Things are just changing.)

Besides telling your friends, family, and strangers about Bargain Believer, here are a few other specific ways you can help (that aren’t too tortuous, hopefully!)  :)

  • Print your coupons from here — Bookmark it, please!
There is also a link on the top menu bar on the website.
  • If you do any Amazon shopping, start with our search box on the top left of the page.
After that, navigate however you want on their site, snagging all the great deals they have!
  • Use any links we provide in posts.
Some pay us when you buy/print something, others just for clicking.
  • Visit the website often!
You’re helping in a small way, since you’re viewing Google ads.
You’re also “telling” Google you love us and they should let our page show up when people search for certain things.

Some of you have been doing this for years.  THANK YOU!  For those of you who had no clue you could help in these ways or any of our back story … now you do.  :)  Thank you for reading all this!

Hi there Juli! Thank you for all that you do! I must admit I don’t always take advantage of what you put out there but you are always the one to remind me about Fry’s coupons. Heck, you post it before they do! I do have a question, can we use your search box while using the amazonsmiles URL? Thank you again!

    • Juli says:

No, you can’t … or, at least I’m about 99% sure. I think it’s whatever link you click last. Thanks for asking — wish it was both!

  • Meghan says:

Thank you Juli & Gina for all your hard work! I tell people often about the site, including people at WIC & grocery store employees.

    • Juli says:

Meghan, I’m not sure why my comment didn’t post under your name, but I commented below. The summary is . . . thanks so much! :)

  • Juli says:

Thank you for doing that! I figure if more come and some do something to generate revenue … well, it all adds up . . . not to mention I’d love for more people to save money!

  • Debbera Shreve says:

I appreciate you guys SO much!!
I am going to step it up and make more of an effort to spread to word. =)

    • Juli says:

Debbera, you are appreciated! I love that you’re one of the first to “like” most every post we put on Facebook. It really helps, since “likes,” comments, and shares makes Facebook show the post to more people. Thank you!

Hi!…I have been clipping coupons for many years and I just recently found your site. I find it so comprehensive that I don’t need to use any other website. Thank you for all the hard work. It makes my job of saving my family money so much easier!

  • Suzanne says:

Thank you Juli & Gina for all your time and hard work!
I don’t know what I’d do without your site and I’m always sharing
it with the cashiers at the various stores that I shop at.
I know how much time and effort it takes, because I thought about doing something similar as well, but found I don’t have the patience for it so, I’m hoping your site will be around for a long time.
Also I’ve stopped getting the store circulars here In Tucson on Tuesdays and I shop before the mailman gets here on Wednesdays so, without your Albies, Bashas and Fry’s match ups I’d be shopping without a list and we all know what happens when we do this lol

    • Juli says:

Ha! I hate going into a store without a plan … okay, maybe not Target. :) I like to do my “clearance walk.” The closest store to me is Winco. Even though they have some great prices, I don’t like that they don’t have an ad. I feel lost when I walk in without a plan. Glad we can help take that problem away. It’s torturous! :)

  • Meg says:

Everytime I am in a store and get deals… The clerk says “wow, how did you do that”, and everytime and tell them about you and show website on my phone. You provide a service that has saved me hundreds of dollars and I am grateful for that. The last couple of years have been tough, but your website has invaluable! 😋

  • HaroldS says:

Golly, I get a lot of good current information here. I do hand out your card in stores when I see someone with a book or envelope of coupons. Do you get paid if I click on Fry’s $2/xx weekly digital on your site? I may be guilty of clicking on the message they send me on Facebook. If so I’ll be sure to click it on your site from now on. Also, do you get paid for printing coupons from your coupon data base? I would then use it more then I do now.

    • Juli says:

I don’t get paid for any digital coupons you load or from coupons in the database. You’re safe to carry on and not worry about clicking links for those. :) Thanks for asking and for being willing to consider changing your habits. It’s appreciated!

  • Giselle says:

I just want to say that you guys are very much appreciated by all of us! We may not say this often because we get caught up in our busy lives, but you guys honestly make couponing so much easier! I’m always waiting anxiously on Mondays for the grocery ad store match ups. I literally look at your list first then the ad. Whenever anyone asks me for couponing help I tell them forget the Flipp ad, use Bargainbeliever.com to make your list. I’m glad I came across your page on fb 😊 Thank you for taking the time to do this for us!

    • Juli says:

You’re welcome! Thanks for the kind comment. We do understand that lives are busy and appreciate so many, like you, who have expressed gratitude over the years, even when busy. It keeps us going. Thank you!

I love your site! It’s got lots of great deals yet is not hyped up with lots of ads or distractions like other sites. Somehow I find it relaxing!! Anyway, I would think that Ibotta referals could lead to extra income. I just started using the app and I love it. I think that all the stores that you do matchups for have Ibotta deals and you could put your referral code with the deal. Just a thought.
I have used your Amazon link a few times, but I need more frequent reminders to use it!!!!

    • Juli says:

Whenever we have an Ibotta deal listed, it’s my referral link. That’s another example of how I can send you somewhere and not get paid or send you there and get paid. I choose to get paid. :) I can’t say I get rich off that, but I take what I can get and am thankful. It all adds up!

I’m glad you find the site relaxing. It makes me laugh. I have ideas on what I need to change, but time and ambition never seem to hit at the same time, so it’s been the way it is for such a long time. When my husband put the little names of grocery stores and their logos on top, I laughed since the logos were so small and said, “Well, it will work for now.” It’s been there 6+ years, I think, with only minor tweaks. That’s just how we roll, with a busy schedule and laziness … it’s a combo. :)

I have been using bargain believer what seems like forever! You guys have the best most accurate information for AZ. Thanks for all the hard work, we all appreciate it!

I have even been inspired to start my own blog! I hope you can stop by it! http://www.bizzybeelife.com

Thank you so much for your site! At this time in our life’s our consumerism is down. But, I did use your code when we bought Pogo Passes. I appreciate your values and honesty. I’ll try to spread the word a little more to show my gratitude.

    • Juli says:

I did it again … managed not to hit reply … or my computer is doing weird things. I want to make sure saw my reply, Barbara, scroll down. :)

  • Juli says:

I appreciate you using my code for Pogo Passes. That’s another deal … get paid to get you about a good deal or don’t … ummm, pay me! :) Thank you, Barbara, for that and being willing to spread the word!

  • Pat says:

PLEASE stick around! Your site is the only one that has reliable information state wide. I can decide Monday afternoon if I want to shop at Frys before the last sale ends or wait until later in the week if better deals. Then I can print coupons and make my list. You make this old lady’s life a LOT easier. I have mentioned your site several times on a national couponer youtube channel for anyone in Arizona. She doesn’t do grocery stores so she is cool with it. Love you ladies and have been printing coupons from your site religiously once I understood the revenue deal.

    • Juli says:

Glad we can help you make informed decisions on when to shop. Thanks for the support and helping to spread the word. It’s appreciated!

  • Serina says:

Thank you for all you do, Your hard work has been so very helpful and informative. One day not long ago, I was checking out at a store struggling with coupons. The cashier was a patient and sweet lady and told me about this site and insisted I look it up right there on the spot. I’m so happy so helped me, I have also directed so many people to your site. Thanks again
    Rock on!

I’m glad there’s a thoughtful cashier out there somewhere, who is willing to be patient and also pass along information to help people save. I’m curious if it’s one I know and have talked to about my website. Every once in awhile I’ll mention it, when they say something like, “Wow. I wish I could do that.” “Well, you can!” is my answer. :) Do you live in the Chandler/Mesa/Gilbert area?

Thanks for sharing the story and for telling others about the site. Both are appreciated!

  • ReuschHome says:

You can count on my clicking, printing, and spreading the word. We love your site and use it to make our shopping lists. We constantly tell others, even at social functions. Your site allows me to save money AND spend more time with my family.

    • Juli says:

Nothing says you love your friends and family more than telling them how to get free/cheap deodorant and toothpaste, right? :) Glad we can help save both your money and time — two limited resources that are nice to have “extra” of! We appreciate your help in keeping the revenue coming in and helping us help more people. Thanks!

I can only imagine how much time and effort goes into this website. . Often I have thought about you and your helper..All the time you put in here. . Thank you.
I can not imagine my shopping without your website. It’s my first go to place every week.
I do approach strangers in the stores when I see them carrying paper adds and tell them they can just use Bargain Believer instead. I explain to all of them how to use it etc.
Thank you. I do appreciate all you do.
