Arizona Republic Discount Code (DBLOG) ~ $1 per week for Sun. & Wed. Delivery

Updated September 2018.

I’m so excited about the offer The Arizona Republic has, exclusively for Bargain Believer followers!  We’re going back to the good old days … $1 per week!

Get the Sunday & Wednesday papers delivered for $4.33* per month, which is about $1 per week.  You can sign up here or call 602-444-1000 and mention code DBLOG.

Even better news … this is not an offer than ends and then you end up getting charged full price. (The fine print says it can, but they assured me it won’t, unless they notify you first.  Most subscriptions automatically change your autopay to a higher amount.  They said this won’t.)

The same pricing will continue, until you cancel your paper!  This is unheard of, in recent times.  Recent offers have lasted 3, 6, or 12 months and then you ended up paying full price and/or having to remember to call and cancel.

And, this part is unheard of … you don’t have to pay for the Premium Editions they deliver about four time a year.  (Normally, $3 each!).  And, you gee the Thanksgiving paper for free.  I believe that’s around $5.  So, this is a great savings!

That means full sets of coupons on Sunday and no running to the store to get a paper!  Sometimes stores get smaller packets of coupons or are missing an insert.  You may even get a little bonus every once in awhile, with a coupon insert thrown in a Wednesday paper.  It doesn’t happen often, but there’s been a nice surprise in there every once in awhile.

* You have to be a new subscriber to get this offer, 30 days or more since you got the paper delivered.

If you want to see more details about this offer, go here.  I copied the fine print from this offer and others, to make it clear what you’re getting.

  1. Please be aware, the Thanksgiving edition next month will also result in an extra charge for the subscription.

    1. Sounds like a mess. :( The fine print used to say that you’d be charged $1 extra for a premium edition, up to four times a year, plus the Thanksgiving issue. Just recently, they took off the “four times” and left it open to any number, I guess. I asked the rep I work with, to change the pricing on the sidebar, so it would be more clear. She said she would, but I will have to contact her, again, if nothing changes soon. It’s still unclear whether they are raising the rate by $1 every month or just sometimes. Either way, it should be more clear and not so sporadic. They need to even out the price and charge it consistently. Having consistency would make it easier and more clear, for both sides. As far as two papers … that’s terrible, that you have to go through all that, to get what you paid for. I hope they get that resolved soon. Sorry for all the hassles!! ~ Juli

  2. Do you know if we can get multiple subscriptions? I usually like to buy 4 papers for the coupons.

    1. I’m pretty sure they will only allow one per name, at the same address. But, I’ve heard success from those who get a subscription for their spouse, at the same address. You could try that, if you have another person living with you. I’m not even sure they need to be an adult … maybe even your dog? :) It’s a great price, for having it delivered to your doorstep … or as close as they get it! :)

      1. I wanted to let you all know about my experience with AZ Republic. I did sign up for 2 subscriptions, one in my name and one for my husband. They have consistently only delivered one paper. We have called about it each week, for the past 4 weeks, and each time we have been assured that it will be resolved. This morning I noticed my subscription price went up to $5.64, and I called. I wanted to cancel the account, because we never get a paper for it, and I was told that I would NOT receive a refund for the previous month because it was a promotional price. I asked for a supervisor, who reviewed everything, and the solution we finally came to: credit for the previous month, 1 free month credit, and the contact manager would call me after he spoke with the area manager; the area manager would also call me. I decided to give them one last chance to resolve this. As for the price difference, each month they do a “premium” paper. Today’s was supposed to be a completely separate newspaper about restaurants (?? I am still unclear as to what it’s supposed to be), but I did not receive it, so they credited my account.

  3. That’s sad!! Thank you very much for the link!! Hopefully they will start mailing them soon!

  4. Hi! I started getting the paper again at the end of April with this deal and then noticed that they weren’t delivering the RedPlum coupons. I just called and The Republic and they said that RedPlum pulled them. I’m not sure if this is for all areas. Did I read somewhere that you can now request RedPlum through the mail?

    1. Yes, they stopped a few weeks ago. :( Some have started getting RP in the mail, but I haven’t been so lucky. I filled out the form (at link below) a few weeks ago, but haven’t seen success yet. Hope it works for you!

  5. I WAS paying $12 a month for two day delivery. I called and they said deal was for new subscribers only, so I asked to cancel. Transferred me to another department who offered me the $4.33 a month deal but only for three months. I declined and said the deal was for an indefinite period. He relented and said he could offer me that rate but could only guarantee the rate for 6 months, because the newspaper always could raise their rates due to costs, blah blah blah. So now I pay $4.33 a month. Cool beans

    1. Unfortunately, that seems to be the game you’ve had to play, to get a good rate. That’s why I’m so excited about this non-ending deal! Before, you really had to be willing to cancel. Almost always, they “find” a better rate. Over the years, I’ve had to cancel a couple times, but someone always calls and offers me a good rate again. I don’t like the gaps in my paper delivery, but I’m not willing to pay top price for the paper. Literally, everything gets recycled immediately, besides the coupons. Oh, and I flip through a couple ads, but I could do that online.

Glad you got the good rate! Just make sure you put the date on your calendar, so you remember to cancel. The billing begins at full price, after the period of time they told you.

For the future, if you live with someone who doesn’t get the paper, you could cancel yours and put it in their name. That also works.

  6. Hello! Thank you for this deal. I have been thinking about cancelling since they would not come down in price. I wanted to let you know what I ended up doing. I clicked on the link you provided and was able to sign up for a subscription under my husbands name for the $4.64. Once that was completed online, I called and cancelled my subscription. Easy peasy! I hope this will work for others.

    1. Yes! You are both customers and he hasn’t been one. Thanks for sharing! I love that this deal won’t end. No more hassling with trying to get a better rate when another ends or deciding if it’s worth continuing.
