LAST Walmart Price Matching List ~ 10/11/17 – 10/15/17 (NO LONGER MATCHING on 10/16) :(

Below are ad-matching possibilities.
You can also go to directly to each store to get the offers.

This will be the last ad-matching list we publish.  :(  Walmart will no longer be matching prices, beginning on October 16.  Make sure you shop on or before Sunday, October 15.

It was good while it lasted, right?

Since I get about 80% of my produce at Walmart, I’m going to have to make some adjustments.  When I can gather up some time, I’ll publish some of my plans & ideas for saving on produce.

Tips for Ad-mathcing : (Keep in mind that your store many vary from another store & you can’t count on getting everything on this list.)

  • Your store may no longer match the Hispanic market prices, including Food City.  (It doesn’t seem to be very widespread, at this point.)
  • Your store may only match store locations that they consider close to them.
  • Sometimes, there are price variations from store to store, especially Smart & Final.  See your local ad for exact price. (Smart & Final ad here.)
  • Policy says they will not match store brand prices, but the majority report their store will.
  • Walmart sells some produce individually, not by the pound.  Their policy says they won’t match those items, unless the ad shows the same (lb to lb, or each to each).  Some stores will do it.
  •  Meats are hard to match.  Most stores are strict about same size packaging, cuts, brands, etc.  We include more than you’ll probably be able to find at your store since selection may vary.
  • Milk ad matching policy can vary from store to store.  Most seem to carry Price First brand for $1.99.  If not, that seems to be the brand most stores want you to get when matching.
  • Stores in Arizona are continuing to ad match, despite many national locations stopping in June of 2016

Some items below need coupons, many don’t.  Click the green plus signs to make your own personalized shopping list!  (When you do, it will be categorized for easier shopping.)

    HI

I have been talking about your blog for years, sharing it to everyone I have seen caring paper ads in wal mart. I told them ” there is a better way ” here check out BB.com. and they all thanked me. Like you said it yourself, I have done 80+ % of my produce shopping at WalMart.. and now I am a little lost. I have done it for years. Please share if you come up with some kind of a plan. I am right now scratching my head, thinking just to go to Food City and grab the few items on sale.. maybe to Ranch Market this week ? I don’t know will have to figure it out.

    • Juli says:

I’m right there with you! I tried the $10 produce thing last weekend: http://www.borderlandsfoodbank.org/programs/powwow/

I haven’t done it for awhile, since the quality went downhill and it’s just way too much for my family. There’s another one: http://the3000club.org/wordpress/marketonthemove/ (just fewer locations, at least around me)

You get 60lbs of produce for $10. It’s nice, but you really have to share it or can & freeze … something! It helps me a little, but I find that I usually prefer to spend more and get what I want. I got 22 of the long, English cucumbers, a big bag of pickling cucumbers, tons of yellow squash, three bags of dates, and a 3pk of paper towels. There’s no way I could spend only $10 and get all that. One bag of the dates may have been close to that, but … we don’t like dates. I made people happy, by giving most of it away, but I was left with less than $10 of produce, that I’d actually use. But, if you split it with someone and like the varieties, that’s an option. Just be aware, that some of it will spoil very quickly or is already beginning to. You can check their Facebook pages or get their newsletters, to see where they’ll be and what varieties they’ll have each week.

Beyond that, it will probably be mostly Food City for me. It’s pretty close and they have great Wednesday sales. I’m not opposed going to the other markets, but if will have to be a week I notice they have a lot and/or Food City lets me down.

Obviously, I’ll continue to pick up the best produce deals from whatever store(s) I’m going to anyway, like Fry’s or Safeway.

This isn’t near me, but Superstition Ranch Market is supposed to have amazing prices. I only went once, years ago.
      https://www.superstitionranchmarket.com/

Other that that, I don’t have a game plan. I’m sure going to miss it! (By the way, I’ve been trying to find time to do a post about this … which I half did here. Now, maybe I’ll cut and paste and get it done soon.) Thanks for the push! :)

      Good luck!

    • Juli says:

Oh … and Spouts. I’ll go there on some Wednesdays, for double ad day. I forgot about them. :)

  • Lena says:

Hi Juli, 83rd Ave/union hills in Peoria is no longer price matching but CSM Melissa, there are two (the one higher above) said that Walmart will still match one Walmart.com item a day (one transaction/one item) per day. That will atleast helpnout with Christmas presents. I’m supebummed about the price matching change because I saved a ton on produce…but hey it was great while it lasted! Atleast target still price matches!

    • Juli says:

That will help for some things, but I sure wish it was still produce, like you! It’s better than nothing. And, like you said, you still have Target for some items, so we’re not totally out of luck for everything. We have to stay positive, right!? :)
