Reminder ~ Free Movie Night at West Wind Drive In on Thursday, 4/24 at 6 PM

Just a reminder for you…..

West Wind Drive-In is having a free movie night on Thursday, April 24th starting at 6:00 pm.

They will be showing The Lego Movie, Hunger Games Catching Fire, Frozen and Ride Along.

There is only one location in Arizona. It’s in Glendale at 5650 N. 55th Ave, which is just South or Bethany Home Road.

The movies are shown in all digital projection, so the quality should be great!

They’ll also have live music, games and $1 nachos!

You can register for their e-mail club and you’ll get coupons too!

Susan left a comment and had this to say about it last year:

We have gone to the Drive In two times now on their free nights. It is so much fun! Westwind does a great job. They have bounce houses, giant slides, etc…all for free before the movie. The first time we went we assumed they were charging for all the bouncy houses, but were pleasantly surprised that it was free. It is organized and well run too. We stop and get a $5 pizza at little Ceasars, get there early for the kids to go play, fold down our back seat in the mini-van and snuggle up and eat pizza and watch a movie. Very fun! Kids love it too since it’s a “school night”. Long lines at the snack bar and bathrooms, though. Oh yeah, they had face painting too but we skipped it cuz it was long line as well.

This is a great deal! Try it out if you have never been there. Your kids will love it. And if you don’t have kids, it is a fun cheap date!

Thanks, Susan for the info!

Groupon Deals ~ Studio Movie Grill, Bowling w/ Shoe Rental and More….

groupon

There are several great deals through Groupon right now.  Here are some of my favorites:

Studio Movie Grill ~ $5 for one movie ticket (up to $9.50 value)

Bowling at AMF and Shoe Rental ~ This includes 2 hours of bowling and shoe rental.  Two people are $17.  Four People are $30, and six people are $42.  This is a pretty nice deal especially since shoe rental is included.

Desert Botanical Garden ~ $12 admission includes Chihuly exhibit ($22 value).  (It’s free the second Tuesday of the month, but if you can’t make that, this is the next best deal.)

Wildlife World Zoo and Aquarium ~ Kids ticket for $12; adult ticket $23.  (normally $15.25 and $32)

Arizona Science Center ~ One year family membership for $55.  ($115 value)   We just went and my kids had a blast!

Take a look around and see what you can pick up.  It’s always more fun when you get a good deal.

As with all Groupons, be sure to read the fine print, expiration dates, etc.

Local Dines ~ 50% Off Certificates + 10% Off Today

local_dines

One of the places we consistently buy through, Local Dines, has a one day coupon code!

Use: APR22

There are a bunch of Phoenix area restaurants to choose from. They are 50% off (or slightly more every once in awhile). Add in the coupon code and you’ll save even more. There is also a $1 processing fee. (When I added another one, the processing fee went up to $1.20 for me.)

I’ve used them many times before and redemption is super simple. There are no minimum ordering requirements on them, but you do have to pay tax and tip, in addition. The certificates are rarely able to be used on specials, only full price menu items. They have links to their menus, so it’s a good idea to check out their prices since some a pricey. Most seem to have reasonable prices, to me.

Check out the variety at Local Dines and see what you can find in your area!
