Extra Cash Back for Shopping Online ~ Ebates

ebates_percentages

So many of the Black Friday deals, you can get online — even early!  If you’re shopping online,  I highly recommend that you start at Ebates!

There are TONS of retailers included.  (Target isn’t pictured, but is also included and you’ll still get an extra 5% off for using your Target Red Card.)

Start at Ebates, type the name of the place you want to make my purchase, then click through to the retailer’s site (if included).  It takes a few seconds and then everything is the same after that.  The only difference is that a percent goes into your Ebates account.  They will send you a check sometime after you hit $5.01, every three months.  If you don’t hit the mark, your balance carries over.

Sign up with Ebates and start saving even more!  They key is remember to use them, whenever you make an online purchase.  Unfortunately, very few Amazon purchases are included.  :(

You’ll also get at $10 gift card to Walmart or a $10 cash back bonus, when you make your first $25 purchase within 90 days of signing up.

(I get a referral bonus when you sign up, which helps support everyone who works on this site.  Thank you for using my link!)

** If you do a search, there are some similar sites, but I prefer to stick with one, so my cash adds up quickly and I can cash out.  When I checked them out (years ago), Ebates had a higher payout for most things.

Note from Juli . . .

bargain_believer_logo

Please tell everyone in AZ you know (or even strangers!) to check us out.  If they don’t already love you, they may start!  :)  Most of you know this, but just in case you don’t … I pay people to help me since I just don’t have time to spend on what is needed  to keep this site going.  I use affiliate links and advertising, to generate an income.  We get to continue because of those who use our links and help us grow by telling others about Bargain Believer.

I want to be honest/clear … our #1 priority is to save you money, not make money.  But, for one to happen, the other needs to happen or we can’t continue.  I still refuse to post things that I hope a few of you might jump on, just to make a buck .. at the expense of wasting everyone else’s time & diluting the things I find valuable.  We really pick and choose what we feel is the best, especially for AZ residents, without becoming a site that just lists Amazon & other affiliate deals all the time.  That means the majority of our posts make us a whopping $0.   I get as excited to post those as I do the money making ones, if I know you will benefit.

With that said, sometimes I feel guilty for posting the things I make money on.  In some ways, it would be easier if I didn’t make/need money.  My guilt would be less.

Later this afternoon, I will put up a post about Pogo Pass.  I’m sorry for those of you who are sick of seeing it.  However, please realize that it’s extremely popular and I get thanked for sharing it all the time.  It’s an amazing value and I completely believe in it.  Also, keep in mind that we have new people come to the site each day and most people don’t see every post we do (shocking to a few of you loyal followers, I know)  :)  Honestly … we probably couldn’t afford to keep doing what we’re doing without Pogo’s generous commission.  I’d love for you to share or tag people on that post (or any!) if you think anyone would benefit.  Side note:  Pogo can also be used for fundraisers.  If you know a school or non-profit that needs to make some money, please send me an email (juli@bargainbeliever.com).  Or, it can even be a business that wants to put flyers on their counter.  They are a super company to work with.

Okay, this didn’t start out so long in my mind, but I’m a world-class rambler.  I’m glad you’re here and really don’t know how to fully express that to you, but just believe me … I love sharing deals and it’s much easier to share them, than keep them to myself.  Well … in some ways.  :)  THANK YOU!  ~ Juli

Stay Active on Facebook or You’re Missing Out!

facebook_icons

Are a Facebook user, who likes to see all the updates from pages you have “liked,” like the Bargain Believer page?  (I think that sentence had too may “likes” in it!)

Ughhh . . . it’s so frustrating when I don’t see things I want to.  I feel like when I “like” a page, I’m telling Facebook I want to see their updates.  If I don’t want to see them, I’ll “unlike” them.  Facebook sees it differently.  :(

You need to get/stay active to see what you want on the Bargain Believer Facebook page!  We posts extra deals on Facebook from time to time.  You’ll want to see them, even if you get the email or stalk the website.

When you “like,” share, or comment … you are telling Facebook that you value the page and want to see posts.  You are also making it a more popular post, which will increase the likelihood that those who aren’t as active, will see the post.  Pretty please … like or comment on posts when you think they’re beneficial!

If you are active for awhile and you’re still not seeing everything, don’t forget … you can get daily emails.  Note:  You will not get them until you click on the confirmation email that you receive.  You will get an email almost every single day.  I realize that’s not for everyone.  If it annoys you enough, you can unsubscribe at any time.  We promise not to spam you, once you unsubscribe.  Well, we’ll never “spam” you, but you’ll get that one email each day.  :)

If all else fails … we have a website!  Check it often.  :)

Thanks for being here and giving us an outlet to share the deals we find.  We like finding bargains and it’s much more fun to share them!

Are We Going to Charge for Bargain Believer? No! ~ How Can You Support Us?

bargain_believer_logo

I’ve been asked if I will charge a fee for the upgrades/app my husband is working on.  No!  Unless there is a reason our income drops, we can afford to keep going the way we are.  Thankfully, my husband works for dinner (when I make it!) and doesn’t expect more.  :)

I pay four people to help with this site:  Gina, Susan, Cherie, Karen.   Let me assure you that none of them are getting rich and they all deserve more for what they do!  When there’s “extra,” I make money.  When there’s not, I don’t.  Thankfully, overall I do.  I have additional ideas for improvements, but they all take time.  Since I don’t have more of that precious commodity, it would mean hiring additional people to help.  I’m always afraid to take that leap since my income goes up and down and I’m not willing to lose money by running this website.  But, up to this point, it’s always worked out.

I’ve also been asked what you can do to thank us or help support the site.  First of all, by asking that or telling us how the site has helped you . . . you’ve brought a smile to my face and probably the other gals.  Thank you!  Beyond that, my basic answer is . . . . use this site and tell others about it, if you find value in it!

Something even more tangible that you can do is bookmark the Coupons.com page on the site:
http://www.bargainbeliever.com/blog/coupons-com-printables/

Whenever you print coupons from there (or any direct link we give), I get paid.  When you type in Coupons.com and go to their site, I don’t.  From time to time, I get paid for other links I give you, but that is one of the main ways I make money and we can continue to make the site free.

Another consistent source of income is from Google ads, as you probably know.  When you see something of interest and click on it (or just come to the site), they pay me a small amount.  It adds up!

So, please use the links we provide!  Many won’t bring me any revenue, but some do.  I try very hard not to post things just because I’ll get paid for them.  In fact, I just had a IM conversation with Susan a couple days ago, hesitating to post something because it made me money.  When I make money, I often give it extra thought — just to make sure that’s not what is motivating me to publish it.  I don’t want this site to become like so many out there . . . selling you one “bargain” after another just to make a buck or two.   I’m very firm on this.

Again, this link is a great one to bookmark and use . . . it has a value to you and to all of us who work behind the scenes.  Thank you!
http://www.bargainbeliever.com/blog/coupons-com-printables/   It’s also on the top menu bar, if that’s easier.

Thank for being here and trusting us to bring you deals we find value in!

~ Juli

P.S.  My husband is slowly working on the upgrades, but there is not a target date.  It just gets a couple hours here and there, as he can find time.  The biggest change (that will probably roll out first) will be for you to be able to move from device to device, being able to work on or pull up your completed lists.  I’m very excited and can’t wait to use it myself!

Bargain Believer Blog Button ~ To Share the Logo/Link ~ THANKS!

I posted this a long time ago, but it’s been long buried.   I’m going to be lazy and just copy the same post below.  :)

Bargain Believer

If you don’t have a blog/website, you may not have any clue what a “blog button” is.  I was with you, a couple years ago, before starting this website.

It’s the image above.  Basically, it’s the little logo “thing” that you can paste onto a website, with the computer code included (also called a widget).

I was recently asked for it and I remembered that I never told you it was now on the website, if you ever want it.  (Go to “about” on the top menu bar and then “blog button.”)

I realize this won’t thrill most of you, but some of you have a personal blog or website and you like to share your favorite online websites with your readers.  If that’s you and you’d be willing to post a link to Bargain Believer — thank you very much!  It’s appreciated more than you know.

Here’s the code if you want to grab it from here:

<div align="center"><a href="http://www.bargainbeliever.com" title="Bargain Believer"><img src="http://www.bargainbeliever.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/bargain_believer_125_white.png" alt="Bargain Believer" style="border:none;" /></a></div>

Thanks to our friend, Gary, who made the logo!  It will appear on the website someday.  It doesn’t “fit” (in computer ways) and the website is waiting for a redesign — someday!  It’s been on the Bargain Believer Facebook page for a long time, but that’s as far as we got.  There’s always plenty on my “to do” list!  :)

Update:  It’s still on that list.  I’m slow!  :)

New to Bargain Believer? ~ Shopping List, Facebook, Twitter, RSS, Email, Etc! :)

bargain_believer_logo

First of all, WELCOME!  I’m glad you’re here and hope you find ways to save for your family!  (Actually, I KNOW you will!)  :)  We focus on Arizona, though some deals are national.

facebook_icon

If you’re active on Facebook, make sure you’ve “liked” Bargain Believer.  All updates are there right away and you have a better chance of seeing things before they disappear.  Plus, we post extra things over there sometimes, especially deals that are Facebook only deals or ones that we think will disappear very quickly.

twitter_icon

I’m not a Twitter user, but the feeds automatically go there, so if you use Twitter, you can also follow there.  (No extras there, but all the updates on the website will be there.)  Note:  We’re having technical difficulties getting the feeds over there — hope to have it fixed soon!

email_iconrss_feed_icon

Or, you can get email updates or see posts in your RSS feed.

Also, if you’re new or just never discovered the shopping list function, check it out.  You can make your own shopping lists, from the website.  (Sorry, can’t use it on mobile devices unless you have the newest iPad.  You can copy it and email it to yourself, if you want to pull it up on your mobile.)  You can customize it in many ways.  I use it myself and love it!

I made a video explaining how to use the new shopping list.  Among a few other things, it is sorted by category and so much more!!

Or . . . if you prefer to learn on your own, it shouldn’t be that hard.  Just click a green plus sign, from a shopping list on the website.  It’s fairly intuitive and you won’t have to listen to my ten minutes of babbling.  :)

And, Here’s a link to a previous post I did, that has some general information that you might find helpful.

Please ask any specific questions that you have!  You can ask on Facebook or email me:  juli@bargainbeleiver.com

Glad you’re here!

American Discount Foods Ad ~ Awesome Prices (Mesa)

american_discount_friday_deals

For those of you who live near Fiesta Mall, in Mesa, you really should check out American Discount Foods.  They are right across from Fiesta Mall, on Southern.  (They changed locations, somewhat recently, so don't head to the old one.)

You can view their weekly ad and daily deals on the website or sign up to have them delivered to you each day.

I don't go often, but sometimes the daily deals lure me in.  The orange juice price (today only, Friday) is a strong pull for me.  You can get a 6-pack of Tropicana for only 99¢.  That's so much convenience for a low price!  Their weekly ad also has some other great deals, so make sure you look at that, too.

One word of caution, check the expiration dates on the products you purchase.  Some are out of date or approaching the expiration date.  I'm not a total expiration date stickler for everything, but be aware that you'll want to use some things soon, freeze them, or just pass on the deal altogether.

Oh, and just so you know . . . they don't take coupons and are closed on Sundays.  Too bad on the coupon thing!

Dollar Tree Now Taking Coupons!

Starting today, Dollar Tree is accepting coupons!  We don't usually post a lot about dollar stores, but there are some good deals to be found.

Dollar Tree is my favorite dollar store because….wait for it, wait for it…everything is a dollar!  I don't get the others that charge $5, $10, and more for things.  Drives me crazy.

In any case, here are their coupon guidelines.  I underlined the ones I think are the most important for us.

IN-STORE COUPON ACCEPTANCE: GUIDELINES & LIMITATIONS

  1. Only original and intact manufacturers’ coupons will be accepted. Retailer-specific coupons will not be accepted.
  2. Coupons are void if copied, scanned, or if they have been altered in any way.
  3. Only two (2) print-at-home Internet coupons may be redeemed per transaction.
  4. We are unable to accept coupons for “Free” items with no purchase requirements or where the amount for the product is blank.
  5. Coupons can only be used in stores and must be presented at time of purchase. Coupons cannot be redeemed for cash at a later time.
  6. Coupons will not be accepted without the purchase of the item specified and are subject to the terms listed (e.g. expiration date, size, limitations, quantity, etc.).
  7. Coupons cannot be redeemed for more than the purchase price of the item.
  8. Only one (1) manufacturer’s coupon will be accepted per item.
  9. Management has the right to refuse any coupon or otherwise limit quantities.

I noticed the Colgate Toothpaste was in their ad, so you can pick that up for 25¢ with the coupon in our SS today.

Sprouts ~ Register for E-mail Coupons

When we decided to move to Prescott from Phoenix 5 years ago, I didn't realize how much I would miss Sprouts.  We desperately need one up here and a Chick-fil-a and a Food City and NYPD Pizza and I'd like our Old Navy back and the Gap too.  We are deprived up here.  It's sad.  At least we got a Trader Joe's 6 months ago!  Baby steps.

A Reader (Rosie) let us know that you can subscribe to Sprouts e-mails here and they often send out special coupons, from dollar off to try it free coupons!  You can also print Sprout coupons for lots of different products in the store.

(Thanks, Rosie!)
