Sunday Coupon Insert Preview ~ 3 Coming on 9/28/14

If you like to peek ahead to see what coupons you should expect on Sunday, go to Sunday Coupon Preview and check it out.  It looks like we should be getting three inserts this Sunday . . . Proctor & Gamble (P&G), Red Plum (RP) and Smart Source (SS). Remember, coupons are sometimes regional, so there aren’t any guarantees what we’ll get.  However, they are usually pretty close and give you a good idea what to expect. az_republic_3_for_1 If you don’t get the Sunday coupons, you can get the Sunday and Wednesday Arizona Republic delivered for only $12 for 3 months, if you haven’t been a subscriber in the past 30 days.   I have verified that this is the best rate they currently have available.  You pay for one month, get two for free.  That works out to approximately $1 per week!  The key is that you need to cancel in three months, if you decide not to continue at full price, since it’s an autopay offer.  I’ve often called to cancel a promotional rate and they’ve extended it, but no guarantees on that.

Did you know you could a free 6 month subscription?  They sometimes have coupon inserts in them.  Head over here and sign up.  You’ll probably have to do a survey or two, but it won’t take more than 10 minutes or so of your time.  Then, you can get select the Wall Street Journal as your reward.  It also sometimes has inserts mid-week.  It’s always a nice surprise.

My favorite that we should get on Sunday are:

Bounty Basic Paper Towel (single roll)   99¢ (thru 10/14)  AT SAFEWAY
$0.25/1 Bounty Towel or Napkin 08/31/2014 P&G Insert (exp 9/30/14) (worth 99¢)
$0.25/1 Bounty Towel or Napkin 09/28/2014 P&G Insert (exp 10/31/14) (worth 99¢, future, if we get it)
$0.25/1 Coupons.com (gone if not first coupon shown after clicking link, worth 99¢)
Final price:  FREE

Ivory Bar Soap, 3 pack   $1.00 (thru 9/30) (Thanks, Eunice!)   AT FRY’S
$0.25/1 Coupons.com (gone if not first coupon shown after clicking link, worth $1)
$0.25/1 Ivory Body Wash or Bars 08/31/2014 P&G Insert (exp 9/30/14) (worth $1)
$0.25/1 Ivory Body Wash or Bars 09/28/2014 P&G Insert (exp 10/31/14) (worth $1) (future, if we get it)
$0.25/1 Fry’s digital (can’t use w/ paper coupon, only worth 25¢)
Final price:  FREE

40% Off Children’s Halloween Costumes at Target – 2 DAYS ONLY

halloween_cartwheel
There’s a Cartwheel coupon to load to save 40% off children’s Halloween costumes.  It is good for up to two costumes.  (Not good on accessories, sleepers, or dress-up toys.)

It expires Saturday, September 27th.

Here’s their update:
Sorry for the confusion. The expiration date is correct – tomorrow, September 27th. There’s a pesky bug causing the “expires today!” message to show at the moment. Have no fear, you can still redeem the deal in stores tomorrow, too!

It says the coupon is only good TODAY (9/26), but the date listed is 9/27, so ??  If you can get there today, I would . . . just in case it disappears tomorrow.

Don’t know what Cartwheel is?   Read here.

While you’re there, pick up some other bargains at Target.  Here’s the full list of Target deals.

If you prefer to head to Spirit, here’s a 20% off coupon.

20% off at Spirit Halloween or SpiritHalloween.com

Saving Star Friday Freebie ~ Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix

jiffy

SavingStar has a new Friday Freebie.  You only have until Sunday, 9/28 to buy this offer.

Saving Star Friday Freebie ~ Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix
FREE SavingStar eCoupon (future savings, exp. 9/28)
Final price:  FREE after full rebate, cash out when hit $5

This is different from the Fry’s Friday Freebie.  After you click “I Want This” on the offer, you’ll pay full price at the register.  In about 2-22 days, you’ll get a credit for the amount you paid  in your Saving Star account.

Note:  Other stores are now accepting SavingStar.  Sign up and then download their mobile app.  For stores without a loyalty card (like Target) you will need to submit a receipt through the app.

Plus, check out all the other great coupons.   This is a click, click, click job for me.  I just go click what I think there’s a chance I’ll ever buy.  Then, I wait for money to accumulate into my account.  You can cash out once you have $5.  More details are below.  Go load ‘em up!

They have a new deal called “Healthy Offer of the Week”.  Every Tuesday a new coupon is available to load.  Check back every Tuesday for a new offer.   My Saving Star account has never seen so much activity between the Healthy Tuesday offer and now the Friday Freebie!  Love it!

If you don’t know what it is, here’s more information:

With SavingStar, you can save eCoupons to your grocery store loyalty cards and automatically get credited when you swipe your card at checkout.  The savings doesn’t come off at the register, it gets credited to your SavingStar account.  You can request your payment via Paypal, bank deposit, or gift card when you reach $5.

I just load what I have a chance of buying and then forget about it.

The Arizona stores that participate are Fry’s, Bashas, and CVS.  Albertsons is included too, but there isn’t a loyalty card for that store.   They said you could get a Upromise keytag, but when Juli and I asked at customer service, they had no clue what we were talking about.  Josh from Saving Star gave us the info!    “Contact the stores’ customer support team at 877-932-7948. Please let them know that you use SavingStar and you will need to be issued a “Upromise keytag”. Customer support will ask for your information and you will then be sent a keytag in the mail which you can register in your SavingStar account as the loyalty card number for ACME, Albertsons, Jewel-Osco, or Shaw’s.”  I called earlier this week and the rep knew exactly what I was talking about and my Upromise keytag is in the mail.  Thanks again Josh!

They are not meant to be combined with paper coupons.  Here’s their official statement on that:
(Personally, I load everything I might buy and forget it.)

SavingStar eCoupons will work whether or not you combine them with other services’ coupons, but they are not intended to be used this way.  Generally, manufacturers state that it is against their policies for shoppers to redeem more than one manufacturer’s coupon for the same purchase.  Using in-store coupons in combination with SavingStar eCoupons is not a problem.  In the future, we may implement mechanisms to limit the combination of SavingStar eCoupons with other manufacturer coupons.

Reminder ~ West Wind Drive In Free Movie Night is TONIGHT! (in Glendale)

drive_in

West Wind Drive-In is having a free movie night on Thursday, September, 25th starting at 6:00 pm.
The movies start at 8:00 pm.

They will be showing Ninja Turtles, Guardians of the Galaxy, Transformers and Planes Fire & Rescue.

There is only one location in Arizona.  It’s in Glendale at 5650 N. 55th Ave, which is just South or Bethany Home Road.

The movies are shown in all digital projection, so the quality should be great!

They’ll also have live music, games and $1 nachos!

You can register for their e-mail club and you’ll get coupons too!

You can read about it on their Facebook page.

Susan left a comment and had this to say about it last year:

We have gone to the Drive In two times now on their free nights. It is so much fun! Westwind does a great job. They have bounce houses, giant slides, etc…all for free before the movie. The first time we went we assumed they were charging for all the bouncy houses, but were pleasantly surprised that it was free. It is organized and well run too. We stop and get a $5 pizza at little Ceasars, get there early for the kids to go play, fold down our back seat in the mini-van and snuggle up and eat pizza and watch a movie. Very fun! Kids love it too since it’s a “school night”. Long lines at the snack bar and bathrooms, though. Oh yeah, they had face painting too but we skipped it cuz it was long line as well.

This is a great deal! Try it out if you have never been there. Your kids will love it. And if you don’t have kids, it is a fun cheap date!

Thanks, Susan for the info!
