We don’t use many of these too often, but sometimes they slip in.  :)

The main ones we use are the coupon insert abbreviations.  RP, SS, P&G, GM

RP = Red Plum (insert in Sunday paper)
SS = Smart Source (insert in Sunday paper)
P&G = Proctor & Gamble (insert in Sunday paper)
GM = (insert in Sunday paper)

Here are some others . . .

B1G1 / BOGO = Buy One, Get One Free
B1G50% = Buy One, Get Second Half Off
B2G1 = Buy Two, Get One Free
BC = Betty Crocker
Cat = Catalina Coupon (more info here)
ECB = Extra Care Bucks (at CVS, more info here)
Exp. = Expires
GM = General Mills
MIR – Mail in Rebate
OYNO – On Your Next Order
P&G – Proctor and Gamble coupon insert in Sunday newspaper
RR – Register Rewards (at Walgreens, more info here)

    Do I need to buy a paper to get the Smart Source Coupon? What is a Smart Source Coupon?

    • Juli says:

      Yes, Smart Source coupons (SS Insert) on the lists come from previous AZ Republic coupon inserts. They will be listed with the date they came out. There’s a link on the top left of the website to get the AZ Rep. for the best price I know about. Or, you can try your luck at Dollar Tree each week, for $1. It can depend on the week, but they can disappear quickly. Or, you can pick them up wherever they sell papers. Not all store-bought papers have all the coupons. Home delivery has more. Hope this helps! ~ Juli

    This is my first time using your site and I’m wondering how do I know when the price is a “stock up” price?

    • Juli says:

      I wish I had a good answer for you, but I don’t other than . . . it’s coming. Long story short . . it’s in the next batch of program updates we do. We expected to have it done sooner, but life got busier than we imagined and I don’t see it slowing down for a couple months. My husband is the programmer, so his time is limited. Right now, you just have to go through and find what you think works for your needs. Obviously, a stock up price is slightly different for everyone, depending on what you need or how quickly you go through things. But . . a general guideline will be coming . . probably show with one heart and two hearts. Stay tuned!

    If I have coupons that are expired, do you have a sponsored military base to donate them to?

    Also, when the coupon from a manufacturer says “Expires 9/14/14” Does that mean that it expires at the END of that day (9/14/14) OR does that mean that the last day I can use it is on 9/13/14 for an expiration date of 9/14/14??

    Thank you for your help!

    • Juli says:

      I don’t have a specific base the I recommend that coupons are sent to. If you do an internet search, you will find some options. Nice of you to do that!

      And … the exp. date on the coupon means that you have through 11:59pm on that night, to use the coupon. Happy saving! :)

        Thank you so much for your reply Juli! That helps me a lot. I am new at this (been trying it out for the last 2 weeks) and I think I’m getting the hang of it, but just now am coming up on the expired coupon thing.

        Thanks again for clearing that up for me!

        Juli and I are responding to comments at the same exact time. :)

    • Gina says:

      You can use them through the 14th in that case. It is through whatever day is listed. I found this address online to send coupons:
      KCL Overseas Coupon Program
      Amanda Brumbaugh
      10960 W Bridgetower Dr
      Boise, ID 83709

    • Gina says:

      Oh, it also says: Please sort your coupons into TWO categories, food and nonfood, and send them to our volunteer who will send them overseas:

      • Brianna says:

        Thank you Gina!! You two are so helpful! I honestly don’t know what I would without your website. You’re the best!
