Upromise
The basic summary is you earn money by making certain purchases and it goes into a savings account. They promote it for college savings, but you can also request a check to be mailed, if you prefer.
This takes awhile to set up, but it's easy "free" money after that. All of the savings I have earned over the years are what I call "accidental," meaning I didn't plot anything out or work to get it, other than originally setting up my account. You register your grocery cards and credit cards and all the savings are automatic, when you use those cards. Certain items or places trigger a small amount to be put into your savings account. For instance, you get 1¢ per gallon put into your account when you get gas at Mobil or Exxon. (Usually, it's pennies, unless your sign up for their dining program and you eat out. Those savings are a little more.)
When you click on the link, you will be prompted to sign in. Be careful if you don't want their credit card since they are trying to sell it to you. Scroll down and decline whatever you don't want. Eventually, you can get into your account and register your cards. If you aren't prompted, make sure you do it. If you don't, you won't be saving anything. You can click on "my account" (top right) and then on the left sidebar under "profile" click to "add grocery cards" and "add credit/debit cards." (It's a secure site and I have never had any problems with information I have given them.) Once you do that, you'll never have to do anything again, unless you change cards — or you choose to save in other ways.
There is a newer option to load coupons. Instead of saving money at the register, the savings will be credited to your account. It is in addition to whatever other coupons and savings you get at the register. You can load your cards by choosing the "coupons & deals" tab from the top. Then, click on "grocery eCoupons."
There are other ways to save too, like logging into Upromise before making online purchases, inviting family and friends to link to your account, using their credit card, etc. Even if you don't take the time to look into these, make sure you register your cards and let the "accidental" savings begin!
