sams_club_001

Just a reminder in case you haven’t grabbed this super deal…

It’s a super time to get a Sam’s Club membership!  You can go directly to Living Social and make the purchase, or if you have/want an Ebates account, start there!  You’ll gt 6% cash back, into your account!  Below are the details on how to use Ebates.

It says you have 9 days to get this deal, but sometimes they will disappear before that.

$45 for a Sam’s Club Savings Membership package
NEW MEMBERS ONLY or those with 6 month+ Expired Memberships

  • One-year Sam’s Club Savings Membership (a $45 value) (Valid for redemption October 29, 2014 – February 3, 2015)
  • Complimentary membership card for a spouse or other household member
  • $20 gift card valid for any in-club, online or fuel purchases

  • As an added bonus, all new Sam’s Club members will receive $80 in special members-only savings on select popular items.¹ These savings are valid 30 days after membership activation
  • Read all the fine print to make sure you’re getting what you think you are!

Ebates instructions . . . .

The best way to do it is to start at Ebates.   That way, you will earn an additional 6% rebate (to cash out when you hit $10).  Even better . . . I also think you will earn a $10 Target (or other) gift card, if you are a new customer, placing an order over $25.  (I can’t verify this since I’m an existing customer.  If you verify, please let us  know.)

Then, from Ebates, search “Living Social.”  Click through to the Living Social’s site, from Ebates, and you’ll do everything like you would if you went directly to Living Social.  Search “Sam’s Club” to find the deal.  (Make sure you are in the tab that opens up from Ebates or you may not get credit.)  Hopefully, you’ll see a $10 gift card show up in your account or mailbox soon & you’ll have 6% in your account!

Disney Parks Vacation Planning DVD (and my personal Disney tips)

Planning a trip to Disney?  Click the image above and order a FREE Disney planning DVD.

It will be mailed to your home, totally free.  You must click the Mickey picture above to order it.

Have you even been to Disney during the holidays?  Wow, everything is decorated so beautifully.  We usually go at Halloweeen, but next time, I want to take the kids at Christmas.

My favorite money saving tips at Disney are:

Bring snacks and lunch!  I pack deli meat and rolls for lunch and tons of snacks.  You can even eat lunch while standing in line for a ride.  Saves you money and time.

All of the dining places that serve fountain soda will give you free cups of ice water.  It was so hot when we went.  Instead of packing 10 bottles of water, we packed two.  Then, we’d just hit up a dining place and get two free ice waters whenever we needed.  The ice is really good to munch on too, even better than when I was in labor!  You can bring in water and juice boxes too.  I always freeze a few juice boxes and use those to keep my deli meat cold.

We always stay at a hotel away from Disney to save on costs.  We usually chose a hotel near the Disney parking lots (we like the Toy Story lot).  Then, we walk from our hotel, right in to the parking lot, get on a shuttle and they take us right to the front of Disney.  Don’t worry, I emailed them about this and they don’t mind one bit.   We went over Fall Break and had a bunk bed suite for $90 a night!

And this has nothing to do with Disney, but about a mile from Disneyland is the best ice cream place EVER!  It’s called Joe’s Italian Ice and trust me, you won’t be sorry.  If Disney closes early, just head over there for a treat.  My kids get dipped cones in tons of really yummy flavors like peanut butter or blue raspberry for just a few dollars.  The ice cream is out of this world and the Italian ice is just amazing.

Finding discounts on Disneyland tickets is near impossible, especially if you plan to go for less than three days.  I waited until Fry’s had their 4X fuel points promo going and I bought all of our tickets.  I also bought a $100 gift card for food and souvenirs.   I ended up with almost 4,000 fuel points!  I used them to get $1 off per gallon of gas when I left.  Then, you can also use it at Shell gas stations along the way, so we used another $1 off in California.  Then, when I came back on empty, I filled up again with another $1 off per gallon.  Plus, I still had $1 for later.  It saved me about $20 a fill up!

Note:  You can go to Lowe’s website and type pumpkin in the search bar. You can find which stores have it available. You can also go ahead and pay for it and pick it up in store later in the day. I am not sure how many stores still have them left.

Halloween Food Deals and More

krispy_halloween

Here’s a list of some great food deals we found for Halloween!  It’s always a good idea to call your nearest location before you go to make sure they are participating.  No coupon is needed unless we specifically wrote that.

If you have something to add, please let us know!

If your kids get to much candy, be sure to check out the program where dentists will buy it from you and sent it to our troops!  I always bag some up, and put it away for Santa to use in two months.  No point in buying more candy for stockings.  But, I have to put it in a suitcase and have my husband put it on the highest shelf, so that I’m not eating some every day.  If I have to get a ladder to get a twix bar, I’ll realize it’s not worth the effort.  Although, I’ve been known to do just that once or twice.

(Thanks for some added deals, Alicia’s Deals!)

Zaycon Bulk Chicken Lowered Price! ~ $1.89/lb Boneless Skinless Breasts

I’ve been reading the meat prices are on the rise.  Zaycon confirmed this awhile back and had to raise their price to $2.49/lb for their upcoming sales.  (I didn’t even post about it, since I didn’t feel it was a good deal.  If you ordered, you’ll be credited the difference, though.)  BUT, they just announced that they have been able to lower it back down to $1.89/lb.  We love this chicken and so do many that have let me know their feedback.  Feel free to comment below, if you feel strongly about their chicken — one way or another.

Here’s what you need to know . . (It may sell out, but make sure you get on the waiting list.  If enough are on it, they’ll get another truck load out our way!)

You can get Zaycon chicken for $1.89/lb!  You will be purchasing 40 pounds at a time.  Typically,if you wait long enough, we’ve been able to find chicken in the store is about $1.77/lb.  You might be able to find it for $1.67/lb a few times a year.  Zaycon chicken is $1.89/lb, but you are getting fresh from the farm chicken.  Never frozen, no additives, no added hormones, etc.

Here’s the information I’ve shared about them before, and ordering information:

They have locations ALL OVER, even smaller communities, so be sure to check out their list.  There are different ordering deadlines, depending on your area, but the do sell out from time to time, so be aware of that.   Delivery dates also vary, but seem to be mid-November.

It’s a lot of boneless, skinless chicken breasts . . . 40 pounds to be exactIt’s fresh from the farm, never been frozen. There are no added hormones, additives or artificial ingredients.   It comes in a box with four separate 10 pound bags.  If you don’t have the freezer space, consider sharing it with a friend.  The total cost will be $73.60 plus tax.

They have a short video, if you want to see what to expect.

Be prepared!  It’s a very large amount of chicken and they are huge breasts.  (They are almost too thick to just throw on the BBQ.  You’ll probably want to slice them.)   I spend a couple hours prepping mine.  I slice some, fajita style.  I cube others.  I make tenders out of some.  And, I leave some larger.  You can also freeze it with your favorite marinade.  Of course, you can just stuff them all in freezer bags without very much prep and it wouldn’t take nearly so long.  I always LOVE that I did the work ahead of time.  I just pull out a quart sized freezer bag and dinner is so simple!

The pick up process is super easy.  You don’t even have to get out of your vehicle.  You drive through and they load it up for you.

Place your order now if you want it.

Note:  They also have other foods available.  Check out pricing and what’s available in your area, since it varies.

** They have a referral program where you can earn a $1 credit for each order placed.  After you sign up, if you decide to tell your friends about it, find your own referral link to give them.  I appreciate you using mine, but don’t send them to my link . . . get your own credit!
