Sunday Coupon Insert Preview ~ 2 Coming on 9/14/14

If you like to peek ahead to see what coupons you should expect on Sunday, go to Sunday Coupon Preview and check it out.  It looks like we should be getting two inserts this Sunday. . . Red Plum (RP) and Smart Source (SS). Remember, coupons are sometimes regional, so there aren’t any guarantees what we’ll get.  However, they are usually pretty close and give you a good idea what to expect. az_republic_3_for_1 If you don’t get the Sunday coupons, you can get the Sunday and Wednesday Arizona Republic delivered for only $12 for 3 months, if you haven’t been a subscriber in the past 30 days.   I have verified that this is the best rate they currently have available.  You pay for one month, get two for free.  That works out to approximately $1 per week!  The key is that you need to cancel in three months, if you decide not to continue at full price, since it’s an autopay offer.  I’ve often called to cancel a promotional rate and they’ve extended it, but no guarantees on that.

My favorites are:

** Mahatma White or Brown Rice (2 pounds)   $1.19 / $2.19    AT FRY’S, part of mega sale
$0.50/1 Mahatma or Water Maid Rice 09/14/2014 RP Insert (exp 12/31/14) (worth $1, future, if we get it)

AZ (Phoenix Area) Fundraiser Idea = Sell Pogo Passes!

pogo_logo

Are you or your kids in a group or school that does fundraisers?  Pogo Pass might be perfect!  The group gets a $5 commission for each pass sold — which can add up since they are usually bought as a family or with a group of friends.

Bonus — There’s nothing for you to deliver!  You just print flyers and hand them out.  Or, you can post the information electronically on Facebook pages, emails, and newsletters.  All purchases are made online, with your unique tracking code or discount code.

So many people have told me that this is the best $40 they’ve spent.  I agree.  The value is amazing.  I love the fact that a fundraiser can be for something that is a good value to the people buying it and not an overpriced item, just to generate funds.

If you are interested, send me an email and I can get you the full details.  (juli@bargainbeliever.com)

I hope some of you have connections to the perfect group this can benefit!

What is a Pogo Pass?  (Just in case you don’t know . .  )  :)

  • Another high value venue is coming soon . . . stay tuned!
  • Sunsplash (ONE visit anytime, valid 2014 season ending 9/14, not sure about next season)
  • Sea Life Aquarium (TWO visits, anytime)
  • Phoenix Zoo (TWO visits, anytime)
  • Diamondbacks Games (TWO games – last game this season is 9/12)
  • Rattlers Games (THREE games, dates will be added throughout season)

  • ASU Sporting Events (women’s basketball, soccer, wrestling, volleyball, gymnastics, track and field)
  • Enchanted Island (FOUR visits, Fridays & Saturdays, most rides included)
  • Jump Street (TWO visits, Monday & Wednesdays, Chandler or Glendale)
  • Stratum Laser Tag (TWO visits, dates and times listed)
  • Phoenix Rock Gym (TWO visits, gear is $5, if needed)
  • Tempe Paintball (TWELVE visits, one per month, not Saturdays, includes gun rental, air & 100 paintballs!)

Fry’s Dbacks VIP Promotion ~ Redeem Points by 10/28, but Sooner is Better!

dbacks_redemption

I’ve told you about the Dbacks VIP promotion before.  Make sure you remember to cash out your points, before the program ends on October 28, 2014.  You have until the end of the season (end of September) to accumulate points.  Just keep in mind that it’s first come, first served, for prizes.  Some prizes clear out quickly, so you may want to check out what you have now.  You may only need a few more, to get what you want.

Sometimes, you’ll see participating items indicated in their ad.  Other times, you’ll just notice shelf tags throughout the store.  I seem to end up with enough points to get something every year, without even trying.  Check your points!  Redemption starts at just 25 points!

Head to Frysfood.com.

After you log in, click  . . .
“Savings” at the top
Then choose “Promotions”
“D-backs V.I.P. Rewards”
“Prizes & Rewards:

(Fry’s sent me a gift box with Gatorade, Dbacks slippers, Shamrock Farms & Blue Bell freebie coupons –  for telling you to cash in your points.  Pretty sweet for me, huh?  This is the stuff I love to tell you about anyway.  Fry’s has great promotions — take advantage of them!)  :)

New Checkout 51 Offers, Plus Info on Ibotta and Ibotta

checkout_51_002

It’s Thursday which means we have new Checkout 51 offers.  Sometimes, these offer vary from person to person. Hopefully, you have this one. My favorite will get cheap Nature Valley Granola.  I’ve been wanting to try this, but have been holding out for a better price.  I think this is it!

** Nature Valley Protein Crunchy Granola   $3.99 / $4.99
$0.75/1 Nature Valley Protein Crunchy Granola 08/24/2014 SS Insert (exp 10/4/14) (worth $1)
$0.75/1 Coupons.com (gone if not first coupon shown after clicking link, worth $1)
$0.75/1 printable (worth $1)
$1/1 Checkout 51 (phone app, future cash back) NEW
$0.75/1 SavingStar eCoupon (future savings)
Final price:  $2.99 / $3.99 (or possible future savings) (Buy 5, Save $5)

You have to buy in groups of 5 to get the best price, so you’ll need to find four other items.  You can see the weekly Fry’s deals here.

If you are not using Checkout 51, here’s all the info about this program.

There are new offers every Thursday. From what I can tell, the first 3 or 4 offers are the same for everyone. After that, they may vary slightly depending upon if you redeemed an offer, etc. This week, we have an offer for onions. Remember on the produce offers, you don’t have a minimum to buy. You can buy 1 onion.

What I like about Checkout 51 is it’s good at any store. I wish they had more offers though and were more consistent. Susan got an offer for strawberries this week. I didn’t. If you don’t redeem an offer it will sometimes carry over from week to week, but there is really no way of knowing if an offer will expire Wed. night or not. It’s still a great way to save. You can also combine this with offers on ibotta or Shompium. They are different programs.

Here’s what they say about their program:

Checkout 51 is the easiest way to save money on the brands you love! We’re currently saving over half a million Americans and Canadians money every day and have much larger plans for expansion!

All our members have to do is follow these simple steps:

  1. Browse the offers that are updated every Thursday
  2. Buy the products from any store
  3. Take a photo of your receipt to redeem your deal
  4. Get cash back!

It works on your iPhone, iPad or Android device. You don’t have to have a portable device though. You can use it with your computer and you just need to take a picture of your receipt with a camera. (Thanks, Cherie!) You have to reach $20 in savings to get payout, and they will mail a check to you. If you are a new member, the first receipt over $20 that you scan in will earn you $2 back! I’m at $11.50 in my acct. It adds up quickly.

So, go here to sign up and start saving today!
——————————————————————————————————
ibottaIf you haven’t tried ibotta yet, you really should give it a shot. If you are loving it like we are, they just added several new offers. I think this is my favorite one of the 3. They almost always have offers for milk. In the 18 months I’ve been using it, I’ve gotten back close to $57. Most of the items I bought and received money back were things I was buying anyway or items I purchased for super cheap that were on sale and with a coupon. What I don’t like is that they don’t work at Albertsons yet. Drives me crazy since they almost always have milk on sale. You can always price match at Walmart and the ibotta offers work there. They also offer bonuses sometimes, like redeem the milk offer and 2 others and get an extra 50¢.  That is not available this week though.

Here’s how ibotta works:

Take a look at the offers on ibotta and do the simple tasks to earn the full reward money.

When you get home, just clicked on the deals you want to redeem. The app will prompt you to take a picture of the receipt and then go to the products and scan the barcodes. Done! You’ll get a confirmation email saying it was accepted, in much less then the 24 hours they say. Money in your pocket! Easy!

If you have an iphone or android you MUST sign up for this! This is an exciting new way to save. It’s on top of coupon and sale savings!

Here’s the summary of the program:

You can download the app ibotta for your android or iphone. It also works on ipad2 and 3, I believe.

You can use it as stores like Fry’s, Target, Walmart, Walgreens, etc. (Albertsons is not included yet).

So, what is it?

Then:

  • Choose your offers before you shop or even in the store
  • Take a picture your receipt
  • Scan the UPC code of select products, with your phone
  • Once you hit $5, you can request a Paypal payment or donate to a school

Deals can vary slightly but most are the same.
———————————————————————————————————

shopmium

If you like Checkout 51 and Ibotta, you may want to try Shopmium. It’s a new way to save on top of sales and coupons.

It works like this:

  • Choose an offer in the list and find it in your regular store. They list stores that have it, but any store that has a computer generated receipt works (which is pretty much everywhere now a days.)
  • Buy the product and keep your receipt.
  • Ask for your refund by scanning the barcode and take a picture of your receipt.
  • Receive your refund via paypal or bank transfer or give to charity!

That’s it. Some perks of Shopmium is that you don’t have a minimum cash out value. I just redeemed two offers and they went straight to my paypal account! I love that I don’t have a $5 or $20 minimum to payout. If I don’t like it or don’t like the offers they have, I’ve lost nothing.

It works on iPhones or Android devices.

If you’d be kind enough to enter Juli’s referral code, she’ll get $2 per new user when you redeem your first offer! You’ll also get an offer for a free Lindt Chocolate Bar when you use her referral code. Win/win! This is a small way that Juli get’s paid, so that she can pay the rest of us to keep this blog going! We’d all appreciate it.

Download the app on your phone here.
Please use referral code: MCEMCGTL

Last Free Dbacks Game & Sunsplash Admission + Surprise Coming! ~ Pogo Pass Holders

dbacks_field

I just want to make sure that all Pogo Pass holders know that the last Dbacks game you can get into (this season) is on Friday, 9/12.  The pass includes two Dbacks games.

It’s also the last weekend to use your Sunsplash admission.

Go to Pogo’s website to register for tickets for either attraction.

Note:  The passes are good for 365 days, and everyone has a different start date.  You could use these next season, if the venue is still on the pass, before your expiration date.  I’m not 100% sure if they will be there next season since things change, but we can hope.  I’ve never been disappointed yet.  Whenever something comes off, somewhere as good (or better!) gets added.

Stay tuned. . . the pass is getting even better soon.  My lips are sealed, but smiling big at the new high value venue coming very soon!  :)  (If you already have a pass, it will automatically be added, when it’s released!)

Here’s what your annual pass will include (for now!):

To purchase:  Go to the Pogo Pass website (That link should get you the $39.98 rate.  If not, use the code BARGAIN.)

  • i.d.e.a. Museum (TWO visits anytime, except opening weekends – three weekends per year)
  • ASU Sporting Events (women’s basketball, soccer, wrestling, volleyball, gymnastics, track and field)

  • Skateland & Great Skate (TWO visits per month, skate rental not included, but can bring your own)
  • Brunswick Zone (TWO visits per week, shoe rental not included, excludes Sat. and some other special days)

To purchase:  Go to the Pogo Pass website (That link should get you the $39.98 rate.  If not, use the code BARGAIN.)

Free Small Coffee at McDonalds Sept. 16th – 29th During Breakfast Hours

mccafe

From Sept. 16th – 29th, McDonald’s is having a Free Coffee Event.

Stop by any McDonald’s nationwide and get a free small coffee during breakfast hours.

No coupon is needed and no purchase is necessary!

We received an e-mail about it from McDonald’s.
But, you may want to call your location just to verify they are participating.
You can find locations here.

I have to admit, we don’t go into McDonald’s often.
My daughter is 10 and she’s eaten there once.
It was in an airport and quick options were limited.
The point being, I had to google what breakfast hours are and it looks like it’s 6-10:30.
(Correct me if I’m wrong???)

Arizona Walmart Ad Matching List ~ 9/10/14 – 9/16/14

Click the green plus signs to generate personalized shopping lists. This list has two parts . . . #1 –  Possible ad matching deals are listed.  The store needs to be a “local competitor,” so not everyone can get all these deals.  Your Walmart may not carry all these products.  Meats are very hard to match since they need to be the exact same packaging, type, etc. #2 — Regular priced deals with coupon match ups are listed at the bottom.  Remember, prices can vary from store to store, but are usually close.

Sam’s Club Open House ~ Everyone Gets in Free Sept. 12 – 14 (no upcharge at the register)

sams club

Update:  Christy said her Sam’s in Goodyear told her they weren’t doing it.
We’re not sure if they didn’t know or only some are.
Gina (Prescott Valley) and I (Chandler) both received flyers about it.

Sam’s Club is having an Open House this weekend.

Everyone gets in free September 12 – 14.

There is also no upcharge at the register for non members

Just visit member services when you get there to get a special shopping pass.

They typically have lots of samples out too.

Just a reminder, they only accept Discover or Mastercard as credit options.
They also take debit or cash.

I haven’t seen this online, but I just got a mailer today.
You can find locations here.

They will also be having their free health screening on Saturday, 9/13 from 11-3.
You can read about it here.
