I realize this isn't the typical thing I post, but I just can't let you go through your life not knowing these exist. Really! We got one several years ago and I can't imagine life without it. Okay, that's a little too dramatic, but I really do like this thing!!
What is it? It's a battery holder with a tester built in. I know, it doesn't sound exciting, but it's been wonderful. I can't find the exact one we have, but this one looks like it does the same job. You can put it in a drawer or mount it on a wall. Our is on our laundry room wall. It's not a beauty piece, but neither is our laundry room! :)
Why do I love it? In the midst of my chaotic house, I can always find batteries. When I see a great deal on batteries, I can glace quickly and see what we need. And . . . I LOVE the battery tester and so does my husband. We never knew which battery was the culprit, but now we do! It's a money saver.
Am I insane? Probably, but I really think you need to get one for everybody on your Christmas list. It's a great gift exchange gift or for whoever you buy for in that price range. If you usually spend more, give them some batteries to fill it up. You could even offer installation service. :) Can you tell I like to receive practical gifts that save time and money?

Read the reviews first since it's not exactly like ours. There are a few negative things mentioned, but mine has a few negatives too . . . still the best household item we own!

Update: I found the one we have for $13.79. The only thing I don't like about it is when you only have one or two batteries left, they don't stay in very well. I still like it a lot, but am wondering if this other design is better?? (It's not directly through Amazon, so shipping is more and not free.)
Note: Amazon is always changing prices. This was $10.49 the other day, so I'm not sure this will stay the same price.

The 30¢ Haribo gummy candy coupon is back (at least at this exact second). This sneaky little thing likes to come and go, so print it now if it's there, but don't give up if it's not. It may return.
Since it's worth $1 at Fry's and Safeway, you can get them for 25¢ at Fry's and 49¢ at Safeway.
I think Walmart and Walgreens also carry them, but you would only get 30¢ off there. (I think they're around $1 at Walmart, more at Walgreens.)

You can get a $25 Boston Market gift card for only $15. Since this will be a "real" gift card, you will be able to use coupons with it!
