I am cracking up at my sister and she said I could share this . . .<\/p>\n
She has told quite a few people about Bargain Believer and that they should try it out.\u00a0 She’s told them that she doesn’t really fully use it, but she has this crazy bargain loving sister that finds deals that a lot of people like.\u00a0 Well, she never really used it.\u00a0 Yes, she got the emails and took advantage of a few things on rare occasions, but stress on rare.<\/p>\n
Lately, more and more people she shared the site with have been telling her that it’s the best thing ever.\u00a0 Well, now she might agree!\u00a0 :)<\/p>\n
She works full time and has a busy life, but was so motivated to start that she got all ready on Friday night and went to Fry’s at about 11:30pm — to find out they closed at 11pm.\u00a0 The fact that it was approaching midnight and she was empty handed didn’t deter her.<\/p>\n
She returned home and decided to dig in and make a Walmart list, to try ad matching for the first time.\u00a0 She made her list, printed and cut coupons, and set out to a 24 hour Walmart in the wee morning hours.\u00a0 Her cart was overflowing, so she had to stop.\u00a0 The checkout process was terrible since there was only one lane open.\u00a0 She kept letting people go ahead of her since she had so much.\u00a0 She finally jumped in, getting glares from those who came up behind her.\u00a0 (Let’s just say three talking employees near the front of the lanes didn’t help make her extra happy.\u00a0 Is it good or bad they they helped out another employee who needed to pay for a Gatorade!?!?)<\/p>\n
Anyway, she made it out of there alive and returned home at 4:30am, just as her husband was getting up for work.\u00a0 He helped her unload the groceries and then she slept for a very short time and faced her Saturday.\u00a0 She made it to Fry’s and back to Walmart Sunday.\u00a0 She has now entered the bargain world!<\/p>\n
I often get emails asking how to get started.\u00a0 There isn’t a right or wrong way, but I always suggest starting slowly.\u00a0 However, if you want to try it during a Mega sale at Fry’s and tackle price matching at Walmart in the middle of the night — go for it, I guess.\u00a0 Just schedule in some nap time, which she forgot!<\/p>\n
I asked her if she’s done with bargains — after the loss of sleep and frustration, but she’s motivated to keep going.\u00a0 She said she’s more stocked on things than ever and spent less than she normally would have.\u00a0 She admitted there was a learning curve, but knows it will all go more smoothly next time.\u00a0 I guess she crammed in one night (or morning!), but has it mostly figured out and is ready to continue the bargain quest.\u00a0 Personally, I suggest before midnight next time, but what do I know?<\/p>\n
The moral of this story — my sister doesn’t believe a word I say, but believes her friends and coworkers.\u00a0 :)<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0 And, yes . . .
