The official answer is, “No, you can’t combine a digital coupon with a paper coupon.”\u00a0<\/strong> When you load a digital coupon<\/a> from the Fry’s\/Kroger website or app, it tells you that it can’t be combined with a paper coupon.\u00a0 It’s also in their coupon policy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But, the waters are murky on this one!\u00a0 I will give you the facts and you can do what you want with them.<\/p>\n

If you try to redeem a paper coupon with most digitals, the register will beep and the cashier will get a message that you already have a digital coupon loaded.\u00a0 The cashier can’t override the digital (even if it’s worth more) and will hand you back your paper coupon.\u00a0 You can’t use them together.\u00a0 This is true for almost all of the digital coupons from Fry’s.\u00a0 Two manufacturer coupons can never be used together, and MOST of their digitals are manufacturer coupons.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

BUT, reality … unless the cashier\/store does not allow the special digital coupons to go through with a paper one, they will work together. \u00a0<\/strong>By “special” I’m referring to the 5x or 3x digital coupons that can be used for multiple products in one transaction.\u00a0 (All other Fry’s digital coupons can only be used once, for whatever product(s) is specified.)\u00a0 With the 5x digitals, you can buy up to five of the same product to get up to five discounts, in the same transaction.\u00a0 Currently, they allow you to use the 5x coupons multiple times, either on the same day or another day before it expires.<\/p>\n

The same is true if you load a 5x digital coupon and another digital coupon.\u00a0 Both discounts will come off.\u00a0 It’s not just a paper coupon that comes off with these coupons.\u00a0 <\/strong>Their own extra Fry’s digital coupon will come off.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

My theory is that the 5x use coupons are really store coupons and not manufacturer coupons.\u00a0 My other theory is that Fry’s knows this and could program their registers differently if they were too worried about them being used together.\u00a0 However, these are theories, and using them together goes against their policy.\u00a0 Let me stress that I have no authority or affiliation with Fry’s (or you!) and I’m only reporting what we have discovered and been told by many readers.\u00a0 Ultimately, the decision is up to you and the store you go to.<\/p>\n

In our database, we will always post the “final price” without combining coupons<\/strong> (unless they change their policy), based on the highest value coupon.\u00a0 I don’t want to continually promote or claim that Fry’s will do something that they say they won’t.\u00a0 Go here<\/a> to learn about our membership to save more on your groceries.<\/p>\n

Here’s an example.\u00a0 Use the highest value coupon listed below and pay 99\u00a2.\u00a0 Load the digital and use the paper coupon and pay 49\u00a2.\u00a0 Either way … super deal for this bread!! (The same final price of 49\u00a2 would apply, if the $1\/1 coupon was a different digital coupon.)<\/p>\n

Can you use a Fry’s\/Kroger 5x digital coupon more than once?<\/h2>\n

You can use many 5x Fry’s\/Kroger digital coupons more than once, but not the “Weekly 5x” digital coupons.\u00a0 The ones labeled “weekly digital deals” can only be redeemed one time, no matter how many you get.\u00a0 So, if you get 2 of something and decide to get 3 more later, you won’t get the discount on the 3 you get the second time.\u00a0 Get 5 at once if you want a discount on all of them.<\/p>\n

Often, there is a whole ad full of 5x digital promotions.\u00a0 For those, you can load a coupon once and use them as many times as you want.\u00a0 Just be sure to get 5 or fewer of the items in each transaction and you’ll save on all 5.\u00a0 You can have them ring a second transaction separately (if they allow it) or return another day before the coupon expires if you want more than 5. If you want to shop a second, third, fourth, or .. go crazy!\u00a0 You’ll get a discount on up to 5 each time.<\/p>\n

You can tell which are the weekly coupons if you look in the weekly ad or at the digital coupon carefully.\u00a0 Both will say “weekly digital deals.”\u00a0 Their ad will often have a column on the front page and another box full of those deals on a page that follows.\u00a0 They are kind of set apart.<\/p>\n
