The Coupons.com app was replaced with the Shopmium app in July of 2023.<\/p>\n
It’s super simple to use the Shopmium app.<\/p>\n
After you’ve downloaded the Shopmium app<\/a> and linked a Paypal account, just select the offers you want to redeem by tapping the offer before you shop. You will pay whatever the price is at the store, but be eligible for additional cashback.<\/p>\n When you’re done shopping, open up the app, snap a picture of your receipt, and scan the barcode of the item(s) you purchased.<\/p>\n If you receive an itemized receipt, you can submit a rebate from ANY store, unless an exclusion is given on the offer.<\/p>\n When I expect a credit, on the top of the receipt, I write how much I expect to receive from them and save the receipt until I see the credit appear.<\/p>\n If you are a Beyond!<\/em> member<\/a>, the offers for Arizona stores will be listed in our database, so you’ll often know when there’s a good deal tied to a coupon they’re offering. You’ll get the best deals when you wait for the right sale and then get even more back later.<\/p>\n Getting your cash out is super simple! Once your transaction is approved, you’ll receive an email from Paypal saying a deposit has been made. You can cash out right away or let it sit there and allow your balance to grow.<\/p>\n I love that you don’t have to wait to hit $20 (or similar) as most cashback apps make you do.<\/p>\n You may automatically get the bonus, but if you don’t and there’s a spot for a Shopmium referral code, their generic code is HELLO.<\/p>\n Enter that and you should have a freebie available. Make sure to “Claim my gift” to see what it is.<\/p>\n Then, go purchase the item at a store that provides an itemized receipt and submit for the offer, as you would for any other offer. (Directions below.) When I joined, my offers was for Pillsbury cookie dough.<\/p>\n Shopmium only pays through PayPal, so you’ll need to either have an existing account or create a Paypal acocunt<\/a> and tie it to your Shopmium account. (That link is my referral link. We both get a $10 bonus if you use it and send\/spend $5 with Paypal.)<\/p>\n When you first download the Shopmium app, you’ll be prompted to include an email, zip code, and PayPal account information.<\/p>\n If you miss that, click on the profile icon on the top right and then click “Payment methhod.” After you’ve linked your PayPal account, you won’t have to worry about it again. Deposits will be made directly into your account for all offers you qualify for.<\/p>\n You can let it sit there for a while or you can request that PayPal transfer it right to your checking account.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Make sure your offers are loaded before you shop to guarantee you will receive the proper credit.<\/p>\n As long as you select products ahead of time and make the correct qualifying purchase, you can submit for more than one offer at a time in the Shopmium app. You will be promoted to continue scanning items until you indicate that you’re done.<\/p>\n Their instructions tell you that the offer must be clipped in the Shopmium app before your purchase is made. Doing that will guarantee that the offer is valid.<\/p>\n However, if you have forgotten, try selecting the offer before you submit your receipt. There’s a chance it will still go through. Just make sure it’s selected before you submit or it won’t work.<\/p>\n They say to expect your cash back in 48 hours, but it can take additional time (up to 3 days) for it to appear in your Paypal account. I’ve found that it’s almost always within the first 24 hours and it doesn’t take more than another day to hit my Paypal account. Contact customer service about a missing credit.<\/p>\n Make sure you submit your receipt within 3 days.<\/p>\n I suggest going home, getting the rest of your groceries put away, and submitting for your cashback right after that. You don’t want to forget!<\/p>\n After you have selected your offers in the Shopmium app, made your purchase, and submitted your receipt, getting your cash is easy.<\/p>\n You will receive an email saying they received your submission and then another one from PayPal saying you have been credited. Go to PayPal anytime to request your balance to be transferred to your linked checking account.<\/p>\n You can cash out for any amount with Shopmium. Each deposit is through PayPal, so you can request a transfer from them whenever you want.<\/p>\n If you are missing a credit or have another problem with the Shopmium app, go here to contact them<\/a>.<\/p>\n There is a spot to upload documentation. I suggest that you send all the supporting evidence you can, like a pic of your receipt and of the products purchased, including the barcode(s).<\/p>\n At this time, the only way to receive cashback with Shopmium is to verify a PayPal account with them when you’re setting up your account.<\/p>\n Make sure you use the same name and email address you have with PayPal so that everything matches up.<\/p>\n I like to come home, get the bulk of my groceries put away, then submit for my cashback rebates so that I don’t forget to do it later and while everything is fresh in my mind.<\/p>\n I write the amount I’m expecting to receive on the top of my receipt with the name of the app and circle the products I purchased to earn the cashback. If I’m getting multiple offers from different apps, I will sometimes use the back of the receipt and take notes. Something like: “Shomium, $1.00 2 cereal, $3.00 razor.”<\/p>\n When I receive the credit and don’t need the receipt for anything else, I toss it. If I still have a receipt that I didn’t receive the credit for, I contact customer service. It’s almost always smooth sailing, but every once in a while something will slip through the cracks and I have to contact customer service.<\/p>\n Rules state that you cannot use the Shopmium app with other coupon offers. This includes newspaper insert coupons, printable coupons, or manufacturer coupons that are loaded digitally from the store you’re shopping at.<\/p>\n If you have multiple coupons\/offers, you could purchase an extra item so that you satisfy the purchase requirement for both coupons.<\/p>\n Sometimes, and offer will be rejected even if it’s not a manufacturer’s coupon, like a store digital “sale,” especially if it involves a digital coupon where the discount shows under the product.<\/p>\n For instance, if Safeway has cereal on sale for $1.99 with a limit of 4 and you have to load a digital coupon to get that discount, there’s a slight chance the Shopmium credit will not be issued. Those are not manufacturers’ coupons, so it should go through, so you can try contacting customer service, but there’s a chance it will still be rejected. You can usually return the products if you no longer want them, but that’s a hassle, of course.<\/p>\n I’ve received many reports (and it’s happened to me) that if you use a paper coupon, they will sometimes still allow the Shopmium app to issue cashback. It’s probably because non-digital coupons are taken off the bottom of the receipt, so they’re not sure what the discount was for.<\/p>\n If you use use a digital coupon, it will almost be rejected almost 100% of the time since the discount will show right under the product. Make sure you don’t load a digital coupon if you’re expecting a higher amount back!<\/p>\n If you are using two different apps (like the Alexa app<\/a> that has the same offers almost all the time), the rules state that they cannot be used together. However, there are plenty of people that report it will work for both.<\/p>\n Note: If the Coupons.com app is still accepting submissions, do NOT use that with the Shopmium app since they’re the same app\/company. The Alexa app is extrememly similar (and you don’t need an Alexa), but it seems like you can get both of those rebates for the same product. Alexa gives you Amazon credit instead of Paypal credit. More on that here<\/a>.)<\/p>\n Don’t count on it, but you can often double-dip, especially if the coupon discount is not shown under the item on the receipt and comes off at the end.<\/p>\n Shopmium may reject your receipt if you use another coupon or get a “special offer” on the product. Their rules state that you can’t use another coupon and still get cashback. However, if you have any type of discount showing on your receipt, under the product’s purchase price, you may not receive credit.<\/p>\n Even store digital discounts (not a manufacturer’s discount) can look like another discount was given and could result in your receipt being rejected. The way sales are shown can also appear to be another manufacturer’s discount.<\/p>\n I don’t see that a store sale is prohibited in any of their fine print, but you may still get the message above which I received after an offer was not accepted. It’s a little hit or miss with deals, sales, digital coupons, etc.<\/p>\n If you feel you deserve the credit and didn’t double-dip with manufacturers’ discounts, contact customer service<\/a>. Submit a request and hope for the best!<\/p>\n You can use the Ibotta app<\/a> (and other cashback apps) with the Shopmium app since the discount does not show on the receipt and the savings isn’t instant. They are separate programs.<\/p>\n Each coupon you load from the Shopmium app can only be used one time unless the wording states otherwise. You will only receive one discount for purchasing whatever is stated on the coupon. Once it’s used, it’s not available for use at another store.<\/p>\n Every once in a while there are threshold coupons like, “Spend $25 on XYZ, get $5 off.” You can make multiple purchases and submissions until the minimum amount is satisfied. You do not need to do it all in one transaction. Just make sure you hit the required amount and submit (if the card is not linked) before the given deadline.<\/p>\n You can submit multiple offers at the same time using the Shopmium app. Just make you’ve clicked on each offer ahead of time and scan the barcode of each item you wish to redeem.<\/p>\n Your cashback will be approved separately for each offer, so if you see one come through and not the other, be patient. The other should be coming soon.<\/p>\n As long as you receive an itemized receipt, you can submit it for cashback from the Shopmium.<\/p>\n Some 3rd party shopping and delivery services do not use your loyalty card or give itemized receipts. If either of those happens, you will not receive cashback.<\/p>\n I use the GetUpside app<\/a> for saving extra on my gas. Check out all you need to know about that here<\/a>.
