Update #2<\/strong><\/u>:  I'm leaving this post up, just so you can remember to look into it in the fall, after it starts up again.  <\/p>\n

Update:  I got a call back from Ethel, the co-founder, and she confirmed that all the sites will have produce tomorrow!

She learned about this last weekend as she was picking up her Bountiful Basket<\/a> (which she said she won't order again, but some like it).<\/p>\n

Market on the Move<\/a> gives you two boxes to fill with as much produce as you want, for $10!  One is flat, one is rather large.  They say about 60lbs can fit in them.  My sister said she didn't stuff hers as much as she could have.  They limited the melons to one per order.  (Thanks for the picture and information, Lynn!)<\/em><\/p>\n

Their website indicates that it's for needy families and I wanted to clarify that before I posted about it.  I went last week and talked to one of the directors and another volunteer.  They both said anybody could come get the produce.  The money from the location I went to was going toward medical supplies in the Philippines.  It sounded like they were glad to share the produce with anyone and bring in additional income for their project.  They encouraged you to share it with neighbors and friends.  Believe me, you'll need to — unless you have a huge family or if you freeze or can a lot of it.<\/p>\n

I went to a different location than my sister, later in the day, and didn't get quite the variety.  (They were completely out of the melons.  My tomatoes didn't look as good as hers, but were still edible.)  I got Mexican squash, cucumbers, green beans, eggplants, jalapenos, and tomatoes.  I gave some away and ended up prepping a lot of beans and freezing them.  I would do it again, if the location was convenient.  It's an amazing deal!  Some locations have shut down for the summer season, but a few remain in Phoenix, Glendale, and Tucson.<\/p>\n

My disclaimer is that last week, there was a location listed that didn't end up having the event.  I just left a message with the representative that I talked to last week, asking her if they were still set to be at all locations.  I will update this post if I hear back from her.  If I don't hear back . . . you're on your own.  I hope you find it worth you time<\/strike>.  All locations are confirmed!  (Thank you, Ethel, co-founder of The 3000 Club.)<\/em>  Remember to get there early for best selection!<\/p>\n
