Best Rate for AZ Republic Newspaper Subscription 2020 $1 Deal!
Update: This deal has ended and they have added fees. If you’re just looking for coupons, you’re better off going to Dolla Tree and picking one up each Sunday for $1. If you want the full subscription … not sure what the best deal is anymore. They’ve raised prices and added special edition fees, so you’ll probably pay more than you think. Read the find print!
How much is the Arizona Republic newspaper? The $1 per week subscription rate gets you the AZ Republic newspaper set up for home delivery, just Wed. & Sunday + digital access. No coupon or discount code needed with my affiliate link here. (Update: They have changed pricing and you will pay whatever is shown at that link.)
The normal rate for Sunday & Wednesday delivery is $9.99/month on their website. Full delivery all week is $19.99/month.
Be careful will all their offers!
There are also possible additional charges, with all of Arizona Republic’s offers. No matter which deal you choose, always read the fine print. They are starting to add on “premium edition” fees most months & a hefty charge ($5, I think) for the Thanksgiving edition.
Why get only the Sunday & Wednesday paper?
If you get most of your news online and don’t need a print edition, you may still want coupons and store advertising inserts. (Remember, you will still have digital access to all the news everyday, so you’re set for online news with this offer!)
The grocery ads come out on Wednesdays. You can view them online, but every once in a while there will be a coupon in those, that you can’t get in-store or online.
Of course, Sunday editions will have the manufacturer coupon inserts and all the typical Sunday ads. The Arizona Republic is now getting the Retail Me Not inserts! (used to be Red Plum). We also get the Smart Source (SS) and Proctor & Gamble (P&G) inserts.
Use those coupons to save more than you’re paying for the newspaper!

Arizona Republic is absolutely pathetic. They charge for premium editions nobody wants, and they didn’t publish at all for two days at thanksgiving and two days at christmas!
Their customer service is appalling, and the delivery service is undependable, to say the least.
They have zero journalistic integrity!
I agree that the premium editions have always been a joke. I never knew when I even got one, let alone saw the value in it!
I used to help promote their paper since I saw the value in it. But now . . . well, not only did I stop promoting their paper, I stopped getting it. It’s just not worth the cost or hassle with incorrect billing anymore.
I give up on this newspaper. I called a couple months ago because my promotion had run out and I was being billed a higher amount. So, I found out they have a base rate, and then they charge the regular daily rate for the Sunday paper $3, and then I continued the paper for another billing cycle, and was charged the same rate I was being charged before I called. I’m sorry….$3 (x4) 12.00 I was being charged $20 per month. Then, I was going to call again and cancel, but then my credit card was hacked, and I had to get a new card. Bummer….not going to give AZ Republic my new number.
Sadly, I feel your pain. I canceled my subscription a couple of months ago since they kept charging for premium editions and it just wasn’t worth it anymore. You will pay A LOT more when your “limited time” offer has ended, but you still need to read the fine print on that. Their pricing is not transparent or clear and can change at any time. I don’t even notice when I get a premium edition (or care!), but they sure do charge you for them! Sorry for the bad experience!
I want the paper for the6months ,SO i called no one know what I am talking about. I have a code /S-EQ good to 11/19/20 I got it out of the paper. please help me Its.99
cents for6 months
I’m sorry, but I’m not affiliated with the paper, so I’m not able to help. I was just sharing a deal I received that used to work, but that has been switched to another offer now. Honestly, the customer service and deals have gone downhill in the past years. My billing has been a mess and I’ve needed to call a couple times over the past year. Good luck!
That is so sad! Thank you!
I guess the link is not working. It keeps saying invalid card #. I even tried scanning it. Weird!
Ughh! Lately, this has been an absolute nightmare for me. I’ve contacted the rep so many times. But, I’ll tell her it won’t accept credit cards now. Sorry!! You can call 1-800-332-6733 and tell them you want to use the coupon code: D-AL Make sure you stress it has to be that code. Someone has had it changed on them. Either the rep thinks they’re helping or gets credit for another code or ?? But, even if it sounds like the same deal, it’s not. They will add the premium fees to other deals. I’m so tired of trying to figure this out. I cancelled my paper, waited 30 days and just signed up last week. I wanted to call, just to be sure it also worked over the phone. I’m going to be watching my bills closely and will contact them with any issues. When I called I told the rep I wanted this code and don’t want to be charged the extra premium fees. She said there was so such offer. Well, there is … at least it’s promised to me. If they don’t get this right, I’m totally done telling anyone about the deal for them. They need to get it right. It’s a super deal, but not if people are getting charged more than promised and fine print keeps getting changed and people don’t know what they’re getting. A lot of these troubles came with their back end computer system switchover. I just don’t trust them anymore. I’ve heard from several who have been charged for premium editions. The rep I’m in contact with adjusts the accounts (even sent a coupon booklet and $10 Fry’s gift card to everyone affected), but I don’t want people to continue to worry!! Anyway, tangent to say … call, but watch you future bills! At this point, I’m not fully trusting them anymore. :(
Thank you, Juli!
I tried singing up using your link. It did not give me a place to type in the code DBLOG. Before I clicked subscribe this is the fine print below….. this is a promotional period (does not give an end date) & charges extra for the premium editions throughout the year.
Your subscription will continue & we will charge you the then regular rate, less any applicable credits, unless you cancel, which you can do at anytime. After the promotional period ends, your rate may increase. This promotional offer is available only to new subscribers (have not subscribed in the last 30 days). Print edition delivery is not available in all areas. Your subscription also includes the Thanksgiving Day print edition, which will be charged at the then Thanksgiving Day cover price, & premium print editions throughout the year, which will be charged $3 each. These additional charges will be added to your billing corresponding to the delivery date of the edition. If you request not we not deliver a print edition for vacation or other reason, or if we fail to deliver a print edition, your subscription continues, including your full access to our content through or digital platforms & we will continue to charge you the subscription fee, less the then regular amount attributed to providing delivery of the print edition. If you want to stop all charges you must cancel your subscription. If you choose Ez- pay, you authorized us to automatically charge the credit card or bank account you indicate every month. Any outstanding balance will be processed with the first EZ-Pay charge. Your first EZ-Pay charge will be prorated based on the start date. If at any time you decide to cancel your subscription, you may contact customer service at 800-332-6733 & the full amount of any balance over $10.00 will be returned.
Ugh, sorry! I thought I updated all the links in posts I did that weren’t ancient. I just clicked one of them and saw it was still old. I missed it! It was probably the one you clicked. So sorry!! They switched their system over and there’s a new code and link now. Here’s the correct link: https://offers.azcentral.com/D-AL
However, they aren’t specific in the fine print. All I can say is that they promised me that was the deal, but that doesn’t guarantee anything right now. With their system switchover, it’s been a nightmare. Watch your statements and make sure you aren’t charged for those premium editions. Call/email them if you are. They should fix it. If you continue to have issues, contact me and I’ll get in touch with the rep. This new code/switchover has been a mini nightmare, but I’m hoping they have it all worked out now!!
When I reply a certain way, it seems to not show as “reply” to you, which means you may not see it. Sorry! If you didn’t get an email reply about the AZ Republic, please go look for it. Thanks!
I just signed up for the newspaper deal using your link for the promo code D-Blog.
The link changed the promo code to D-AL on the newspapers sign up page. Not sure if I will be getting your deal now or if they will charge me more for the service and the extra editions.

I tried to sign up for this today but it doesn’t seem to want to go through. I filled it all out and the hour glass just goes around and around. It says don’t press the back button and I haven’t. I just don’t think this will work for me
I’m not sure what was/is wrong with their website. I’d try, again, tomorrow. If it doesn’t seem to go through you can call them. #1 Make sure you weren’t already charged. #2 Ask them to give you the deal for the code DBLOG. Make sure they know it’s important not to switch your deal/code. Unfortunately, I tracked down a sale for a reader who was charged extra fees and we discovered the code was changed by the rep, when she called in. That code has to get in their system or you’ll have added fees later. I figure the link is safest, but if it’s not working, you can also get it by calling. Sorry for the hassle! Let me know what happens, please. If there are issues, I can contact the rep I work with.
I called them today and I was not signed up. I was able to do it online today. Thanks
Glad it was just a temporary glitch, but sorry for the hassle!
That deal has the added fees since that’s the best that was available, at the time. :( I suggest you cancel and restart in 30 days or sign up with someone elee’s name, if that’s available. Sorry for the hassle!
I got charged for a premium edition this month (September 2018) and I called about it. They told me that I cannot opt out of the premium edition. They told me the other months for the rest of this year that will include a premium edition. Premium editions at $7.88 (with tax) in September, October, December (these are $3 extra). The November (Thanksgiving) edition is $5 extra. I don’t remember the exact amount that month will be.
Did you use my link when you signed up for it, within the past couple of months? I stopped promoting the paper for a long time, due to the extra charges (not that they were there, but that they wouldn’t say how often or how much). Then, a couple months ago, I worked out this deal with them. They “accidentally” charged the Premium fee recently, even if you signed up after this offer began. I contacted the rep I work with, as soon as someone brought it to my attention. Just last week, they said are going back and crediting anyone who signed up with my link, when this offer was valid, $6. If you did, be looking for that credit. If you are on any other plan or signed up way back … you can cancel and restart with this deal, after it’s been 30 days. Or, you can cancel and sign up with another household member’s name, if you want to get started right away. Hope this helps get you on the right track!
It has been well over a year ago that I signed up for the offer. I had kept a note to myself in July 2017 that I was told by one of their reps that I was opted out of the Thanksgiving 2017 edition. When I got charged anyway, I called and they gave me a credit. I don’t have another family member I can use to re-start the subscription and I don’t want to stop and wait 30 days. As it is, I live in Kingman AZ and I have the paper delivered to my friend’s house in Glendale and she mails me the coupons and I reimburse her for the postage. Is there anything you can with the rep you work with to get me opted out of all the premium editions? Since I only want the coupons, it is a waste of money (and paper) for me to get premium editions. This month (September 2018) is the first month I have been charged for a premium edition.
I did use the link at the time I signed up for the offer, some time last year.
Sorry, I just saw your first comment after I saw your second. I am not able to do anything with the rep since they are two different offers and the current one wasn’t available at the time you signed up. You could try calling and seeing if they’ll let you switch to this offer, but I doubt it. The offer is only supposed to be for new customers (30 days, at least). It’s weird that they just started charging you for the premium editions. I’m not sure why that is.
Do you have a dollar store down there that sells the Sunday paper? If you do, you could do that or a few weeks, while you wait for the 30 days to pass. Or, even paying full price will save you, in the long run.
Sorry that I can’t help and that they aren’t making it easy for you. :(
The Arizona Republic is not sold in Kingman, only the LasVegas Review Journal, and then we get the lower quality coupons, not the good ones from the Arizona Republic.
Ah, got it. I thought you just couldn’t get home delivery. :( Hope you can figure out what will work best for you and you can save some money!
