Try this app! ~ Fetch Rewards ~ (I’m liking it!)
Recently, I started using the Fetch Rewards app.
Technically, I started using it over a year ago, but then I ended up uninstalling it. I wasn’t impressed. It wasn’t worth my time.
BUT, this time around I’m either getting lucky, or they added more offers to make it worthwhile.
I “accidentally” earned enough points to get $15 worth of gift cards in about 6 weeks. It really didn’t take much effort at all.
I view it almost as a magical bonus. I don’t plan anything ahead of time, though you can if you want to.
I shop as I normally would, scan my receipt in the app, then go on with my life.
There isn’t much of a time investment. You don’t need to choose the offers before you shop. You don’t even need to scan product barcodes when you’re done!
Use a bonus code when registering for Fetch Rewards!
- Download the Fetch Rewards app
If you use my affiliate link above and code FETCH3K you’ll get a 3,000 point bonus
How do you submit Fetch receipts?
- Open the app
- Tap the camera icon
- Snap a pic of your receipt (add multiple if it’s long)
- Tap to submit & watch the points get added!
- Note: You can also do online orders at some stores.
Note: Sometimes, I get a message that it’s missing something. I click the option to submit it anyway and it goes through. I’m guessing it might happen when you don’t take the time to get the very end of the receipt. I stop, as long as the date and total are included.
The whole thing probably takes me 30 seconds, but I usually scan a few receipts at a time, so the time per receipt is really even less. It’s super fast!

How do you earn Fetch points?
You can scan receipts from any place you shop or dine.
You’ll earn 25 points per receipt you scan.
You also earn extra points for buying specific products. As I said, I don’t “try” to earn extra points. I shop as I normally would. When I scan my receipt, any applicable offers are found.
If you want to plan ahead and base some of your purchases on the available rewards you can scroll down the homepage and see the available offers. Those are one-time deals that will disappear eventually. If you want to see the normal brands you earn points for, go to the “Discover” tab at the bottom.
Getting these extra points is where it’s going to pay off faster since 5 & 25 points at a time is a pretty slow pace.
There are many other brands, but here are some of them . . .
- Kraft
- Kleenex
- Lays
- Kotex
- Suave
- Dove
- Oscar Mayer
- Breyers
- Doritos
- Betty Crocker
- Heinz
- General Mills cereal
- Chex
- Gatorade
- Capri Sun
- Coors
- Miller
- Huggies
- Gerber
- Many more!
These are brands that often go on sale or have coupons to entice me to buy them anyway. I just scanned a Fry’s receipt and I got 709 points. Sometimes, it’s only 25, other times it’s more. It just depends on what I “accidentally” buy.

How many points do you need for gift cards?
You need roughly 1,000 points for $1 in gift cards. There are many choices for cards. You’ll find one you like!
There are some gift cards you can get for 3,000 but the most common places (Amazon, Target, etc) require 3,500 points for a $3 gift card. There are some exceptions, but these are the pretty standard “payout” amounts . . .
- 3,500 points = $3
- 5,000 points = $5
- 10,000 points = $10
- 25,000 points = $25
- 50,000 points = $50
Since there isn’t much incentive to waiting longer, I suggest you cash out when you hit 5,000-10,000. I haven’t heard of anyone having problems with the payout, but you just never know when they could disappear. You don’t want a lot of money tied up, is my opinion! You can always save up your gift card(s) if you don’t want to use a smaller amount.
Can you combine coupons & other rewards programs with Fetch?
Yes, you can combine any other discounts or incentives with Fetch, as long as you end up with a receipt to scan at the end.
What are the receipt limits & deadlines for Fetch?
You can scan receipts up to 14 days after you make a purchase. You can submit up to 28 receipts every 7 days.
Do Fetch Rewards points expire?
Your points will expire in 90 days if you haven’t scanned at least one receipt in that time period
How do you contact Fetch with problems?
Fetch Rewards’ customer service contact is:
support@fetchrewards.com
They do not have a phone number to call.

Do you get points for online purchases with Fetch?
With Fetch, you can connect your email and/or online account for retailers like Amazon, Target, Walmart, Costco, Sam’s Club, Shipt, and Instacart. They are slowly adding more retailers, so keep checking. If you want to link those accounts, tap the camera icon and then choose the “eReceipt” icon next to the camera one.
I’ve only done the manual submissions. I can’t tell you how profitable the eReceipt option is since I didn’t want hassle with it or give them access to those accounts. I don’t buy the brands listed online, so I doubt it would be worthwhile for me.
If you’re signing up, use my Fetch affiliate link and code FETCH3K to get a 3,000 point bonus! I appreciate you using my link and supporting this site. And, be assured that you’re getting more than the typical 2,000 bonus that’s eared when another person invites you, so that’s an extra buck for a gift card soon! Thank you!
Another favorite money-saving app I use is Ibotta. It takes more brainpower and planning, but I get so many free products with it. If you want to learn more about it, go here.
Don’t miss a deal! Follow on: Facebook, email, RSS, or Twitter.

I love Fetch. So easy to use. I get tired of ibotta and having to look up everything.
I love how many things I end up getting for free with Ibotta (especically combined with Fry’s Cash Back), BUT … it’s much more labor intensive. Since I don’t plan things aheah, Fetch takes very little brainpower. For me, that’s another bonus, on top of time saved!
I’m gald I gave it another try! It’s good to hear others love it!
