Staples Recyling Program – $10 + $5 Credit Pretty Easily!

Staples will give you store credit for recyling things you probably have around your house and want to get rid of.

Easily get up to $10 + $5 in store credit if you are a Staples Rewards member.  You may be surprised by some items you can recyle!

Note:  Their website is confusing, so I called.  They always offer $5 & $2 (and there’s an error with toner/ink being in the $5 category), but the $10 offer is for a limited time.

Recycle tech items at Staples for $10 credit – limited time!

Get $10 for recyling tech items at Staples, now through June 17, 2023.  After that date, it will go back to $5.

Of course tech includes computers, phones, printers and similar electronics, but you can also recycle smaller items like earbuds, calculators, cables, and even DVD’s!  You can do this up to once a month, through June 17, 2023.

See the list of tech items here.  You must be a Staples Rewards member to earn the credit.

Recycle writing tools & batteries for $5 credit

You get $5 in store credit for recyling pens, markers, mechnical pencils, or batteries at Staples!  (There is an error with the ink/toner being included in the $5 & $2 category.  The master list that the cashiers have gives you $2 for toner/ink.)

You can get the $5 credit once per month, though you can bring up to 7 items per month if you have more to get rid of.

You need to be a Staples Rewards member to get this offer.  This is an ongoing offer (and tech is usually worth $5), though it can end at any time, so call your store to verify before making a special trip.

How much do you get for recyling ink or toner at Staples?

Staples Rewards members get $2 for each ink/toner cartridge that is recycled.  You can recycle up to 20 per month. The catch is that you have to have spent $50 in the last 180 days to get the credit(s).

Use the Staples app to track earings from recyling

You can easily see what you’ve earned for recycling items at Staples if you use their app.  You will get a barcode (coupon-like) to scan when you are wanting to redeem your Rewards.  If you don’t have the app, providing your phone number at the register should also pull up the offer.

These programs seem like a win/win.  Hope you can take advantage of them!
