Save money & get the best deals at Sprouts with their weekly advertised sales, app, digital coupon deals, text offers, rainchecks, bulk bins and more.  There are more ways than you think and most are pretty simple!

We realize you’re not getting out there doing a lot of shopping now, but it’s the perfect time to get ready for when you can.

When do sales start at Sprouts?

Sales being on Wednesdays and end on Tuesdays, at least in Arizona and most markets Sprouts locations are in.

What is the best day to shop at Sprouts?

Double ad Wednesdays have ended at Sprouts.  They dropped the promotion in early 2020.

Hopefully, they’ll bring it back, but I haven’t heard about it yet.

Does Sprouts take coupons?

Sprouts will take manufacturer coupons at face value. They will also take their own mobile/digital coupons. They will accept coupons that exceed the value of the item, but they will not give cash back.

How do you use Sprouts’ digital coupons?

Sprouts offers digital manufacturer coupons online or in their app. You will need to be logged into your app or the website here to access them.

In their app, look for “Digital Coupons” in the line of icons across the middle of your screen. (Without the direct link, go to the top menu bar of their website and click “Ways to Save” and then “Digital Coupons.”)

After you tap to “Clip,” most digital coupons are just like paper coupons. They can be used once, when you buy the correct product(s) listed. If you buy additional products, the digital discount will only come off the first product(s).

To use the digital coupons you’ve chosen (must click to add them), you’ll show the cashier the barcode in your app. If you don’t have the app, you can screenshot the barcode or print it. The barcode won’t change, so you can reuse the same barcode every week. Or, if you’ve linked your account to a phone number, you can enter your number when you check out, instead of using a barcode.

You may not use these digital manufacturer coupons with another paper manufacturer coupon, unless you buy enough products to cover the minimum on all coupons presented.

Do I need to scan my barcode or enter my phone number each time I shop at Sprouts?

You don’t need to have a loyalty card to get sale prices at Sprouts.  The only times you will need to scan your barcode or enter your phone number are when you are wanting a digital discount you loaded or to track Checkout Challenges.

You can access the barcode from your app, screenshot it, or print it. The barcode won’t change, so use the same barcode every week. If you’ve linked your account to a phone number, you may enter that number when you check out, instead of using a barcode.

However, you may want to get into the habit of always scanning your barcode or entering your phone number.  It will keep track of everything you’ve purchased, enabling you to go into the app to view pricing on those items later.

Choose the “on sale” icon in your app and then filter by “Buy it again.”  (Look for that option where the three lines with circles are, in the top right corner.)  It will show you all the items you’ve purchased, with the current selling prices.  It’s a great way to see unadvertised deals on items you like, since every item isn’t included in their ad.

How do you create an online account at Sprouts?

You will need to register for an online account here. Make sure you put your phone number in, so you can use it at checkout if you don’t want to hassle with digging up your barcode to redeem digital coupons.

Is the Sprouts App good?  How do you use it?

The app is optional. You can access everything you’ll need through their website, but it’s convenient to have if you shop there a lot. It’s easy to load digital coupons through it and access your “My Barcode” to redeem the offers at the register. You can also view the current ad or search for products and pricing.  And … so much more.  But, if you’re not a fan of apps, all this can be done directly through their website.

Does Sprouts pay you to bring your own bags (BYOB)?

Sprouts used to pay you 5¢ for each reusable bag you bring in and is used to bag your groceries. However, they stopped that sometime around May of 2022.

Does Sprouts offer a case discount?

You can save 10% if you buy an entire case of products. The sizes of cases will vary, depending on what the product is. You can also use manufacturer coupons if you have them.

Most specials like weekly ad items, Bountiful Bargains, Healthy Savings, and manager specials are excluded. These items are also not eligible: nutritional bars, 24 packs of water, vitamins and health and beauty items, any items that are included in a loyalty promotion.

Does Sprouts have an ongoing discount on vitamins?

Spend $100 or more on vitamins and supplements to save 10%.

Does Sprouts offer a wine discount if you purchase multiple bottles?

Get 10% off your wine, when you buy four or more bottles at the same time. You will also receive a free wine bag.

What does Sprouts sell in their bulk bins?  Are they good deals?

Check out their bulk bins. They have candy, cereal, baking basics, dried fruit, nuts, and much more. Most prices are less than you’d pay for a regularly priced item on the shelves.

If you want a smaller/exact amount, it’s perfect! Only pay for what you’ll use. If you want to stock up on something, wait for the item to go on sale and get a great deal. Every once in a while they’ll put all their bulk items on sale, like 25% off anything. That’s a great time to fill your pantry.  UPDATE:  Early in 2020 (due to Covid-19), they started pre-bagging all their items, so you cannot choose the exact amount you want anymore.

Can you buy bulk spices at Sprouts?

It’s easy to walk right by this, but check your store for bulk spices. You’ll usually end up paying significantly less than bottled spices. It’s also perfect if you’re trying a new recipe and you need a spice you don’t have. If you get a teaspoon that doesn’t even register on the scale, they’ll probably sell it to you for a quarter.

Does Sprouts offer rainchecks?

If Sprouts is out of an item that’s on sale, ask for a raincheck. They don’t expire! Return whenever it’s convenient for you or you need the item. This is great for seasonal produce.  If they are out of stock, ask for a rain check and use it when the pricing on that item is high.

Also, don’t forget to ask for rainchecks if one flavor or variety of a product is out.  (Example:  If chips are on sale and you want the salt & vinegar, but you’ll still settle for the BBQ, grab the BBQ now and ask for a raincheck for later.)

When you return, just present the raincheck to the cashier and you’ll get the discounted price.
