Tucson’s Reid Park Zoo ~ $1 Discounted Admission on Saturday + other road trip Ideas for cheap fun!

Admission to Reid Park Zoo is cheaper than a coupon or other discount would be on Saturday!

Normal admission prices:
$10.50 for ages 15-61
$6.50 for 2-14
$8.50 for anyone 62+

But … It’s only $1 to get in on Saturday, November 16, from 10am-2pm.  Plus, there’s more!

Here’s more information I copied from their Facebook page here:
Cigna and Tucson Parks and Recreation are proud to present the 14th annual Family Festival in the Park. There will be games, prizes, face painting, crafts, inflatables, and class demonstrations. Reid Park Zoo will have $1 admission (funds going to the Reid Park Zoo’s Conservation Fund), and the Edith Ball Adaptive Recreation Center will host free swimming with an inflatable obstacle course. Entertainment will be presented throughout the day, and a variety of foods will be available for purchase through local vendors.

Please bring donations of canned goods to the festival to benefit the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.

This is the perfect time for a little road trip, if you are in the Phoenix area and have a Pogo Pass!

We just went down there with friends last weekend, to cash in our our free Pogo admissions.  I wish we would have known about the zoo this weekend.  We may have shifted our trip, though we would have had to cut something out.  We already packed a lot in

With our Pogo Passes, we got free admission to AZ Airtime and golfed for free at Golf ‘N Stuff.  (We could have chosen laser tag or bumper boats.)  Golf ‘N Stuff has a really nice area to golf!

We also could have gone to the International Wildlife Museum, but did the last year.  Instead, we decided to take a short hike in town, so save time driving to the outskirts, where most hikes are.

In case you want to try the same hike we did while you’re there, it was the Tumamoc Hill hike.  It’s just over 3 miles there and back.  It’s steep, but paved the whole way.  It’s not your traditional hike in the woods (or desert here!), but we were still glad we did it.  The city view was nice to take in, once we made it to the top.

Of course, you better get an early start if you’re going to go to the zoo, hike, and to three Pogo venues.  You may need to schedule two road trips or stay overnight.

If you don’t have Pogo Pass, code “ReidPark” or my Pogo affiliate link will make them $49.99 (50% off).
